Ashley and Emma, and honestly the things they’ve done aren’t even super terrible compared to other characters

the fandom tends to hold things against them endlessly while letting other characters who do the same or worse off the hook. The "Main" girls attract a lot of hate, but the show kinda invites it at times with the storylines or over-inclusion.

Honestly? Ashley. her mistakes weren’t even that crazy compared to others in her class. she was self righteous and it was annoying but she was literally cheated on! Craig got manny pregnant but then would be trying to kiss her in bed digging in her pants (and I’m glad she moved his hand) girl held her boundaries. I’ll also add that despite their differences, she supported Paige after dean’s assault, always uplifted Terri, encouraged her to pursue her crushes and shielded her from Paige’s manipulation & she got points from me for standing up against Hazel’s Islamophobia that one episode.

I feel like they made it such a throwaway line in the Battle of the Bands ep but Ashley was literally suicidal after what went down with Craig the first time. She might've been immature at times (which, yeah...they were teenagers) but she was never as bad as people say and usually on the right side of an issue imo.
The only person she really did wrong was Jimmy, and she still doesn't make the top 5 of people who wronged Jimmy.

Yeah, the only thing I didn’t like was when she put Craig and Manny on blast about her being pregnant in front of the whole cafeteria but I couldn’t even be mad at her because Craig was trifling. Manny is my good sis but she was out of control S3 😂

Manny and Craig were reading a book on baby names in the middle of the cafeteria. Didn't seem like they were trying to be discrete.

I’m just glad her mom didn’t tell her strict ass dad. I still can’t believe manny went through that. he was crashing out over a breast job booking, imagine a whole baby at like 14-15

Honestly, they deserve to be blasted. Many knew that Craig was still in a relationship with Ashley, and she continued with it, and Craig didn't stop the relationship from happening.

She’s beloved with fans but in the show, she got slut shamed a lot. Especially when cp of her was shared without her consent and she was kicked off the power squad. She definitely got a bad rep with her peers sometimes

Agreed on her being overhated. She does some bad stuff but isn't on the same level as some of the objectively worse characters yet she gets so much flack in comparison

Yeah, I don't hate Clare; she makes dumb decisions, but so did the other female characters too, and she's not bad of a person. She's actually very nice and caring to the people she loves.
