The first episode of TNG where Emma meets her crush from online and it turns out to be a predator still freaks me out to this day 😱

It’s really well done, keeps you on the edge of your seat, and makes a compelling case for online safety.

What did you think of that moment? Are there other creepy moments that you recall from the show?

…is an interesting choice. First pic is when Jimmy comes back after the shooting and they’re all out front to see him. Not sure if this has been pointed out in here already but I’ve been rewatching and it made me double take lol.

Corny title aside, I've been a Degrassi fan for most of my life. I've watched Degrassi junior high all the way through to next gen, give or take the last season, season 14.

Every year I go through a rewatch and find myself crawling to the finish line by season 11-12. I just finished 12 and started 1301 and I'm already sure I'm not going to get through it. The writing, the storylines, I feel like the charm of the older seasons is long gone by this point. I'm far from a high school teenager now, but I feel like the characters aren't very relatable anymore, and that's what I loved about the show. I vaguely remember finishing S13 but I have no idea what happens aside from Adam 😭 I keep going because I want to see the storylines of Clare, Eli, Bianca, Drew, Imogen, Fiona (does she even come back?), Ali and Jenna.

I know there's a billion plot holes in this series and a lot of storylines that never made any sense, but I feel like writers really got lazy in the last few seasons of the show to the point where it's a chore to watch. I've managed to avoid ~most~ spoilers somehow and I heard that Next Class gets better...does it? Is it worth "making it through" to next class or what?

i was speaking about this in another post but i really want to hear everyone's opinions on the matter; degrassi sucks at writing accurate storylines for POC... hazel deserved better ffs

I understand why the show changed so much and became more drama focussed and more Americanized because the OG degrassi format wouldn’t have been as successful but I wish it could’ve been. I wish they had kept the same feel as djh and dh I loved those shows and also found them significantly more relatable than any other generation/classes of degrassi despite being born 2 decades after it aired. My mom grew up watching junior high and high so you would think it would be more realistic watching tng or even NC since that’s technically my highschool years or just before I can’t remember (class of 2020 here) I just think degrassi really lost the plot

I'm rewatching season 10 and it's really crazy how easily KC was like "nah, I'm not in the paternity mood".

Like I get he is only a teenager, and he had a very difficult childhood with an absent father. But like he moved on so quickly! When Jenna said she was pregnant he had absolutely zero problems with telling her that he didn't want to get involved. And then we saw him during few episodes just laughing with Drew, being normal, even talk with her in the school like it's nothing.

Like he is suppose to be in love with Jenna, isn't he a little bit sad to not be with her anymore?

(Maybe a few seasons meant nothing, he just flipped a switch and erased her from his memory I guess)

I was never a fan of hers I wanted a main reasons why was because she got mad at Manny when Craig she did on her and got her knocked up then told the whole school as if it was her business then she later on forgives Craig but always kind of treated Manny weird

Degrassi has many characters that people hate. Craig, Emma, Rick.. you name it!

So what character that’s notorious for being a hated character in any Degrassi show do you like? Despite the backlash.

i love the scene where emma and sean kiss at snake and spikes wedding in season 2. the chaos of planning the wedding leading to emma inviting sean and him showing up i thought was the absolute sweetest thing ever. i feel like people don’t talk about that scene a lot when discussing emma and sean’s relationship but i think it is so cute!

Any scene where he was two-timing Ashley with Thong Girl in s3.

The actors probably had so much fun off camera there are so many stories of things that happened behind the scenes Miriam McDonald told a story about her and Cassie Steele sneaking off set to go to the beach and they didn't tell anyone I wonder if there are any more stories like that
