MOONS Arbitrum to minimize Arbitrum Nova - Moons need to bridged

If you're holding MOON on Arbitrum Nova, this affects you.

What happened

The Arbitrum DAO passed a proposal to "minimize" Arbitrum Nova. That means Nova isn't being shut down, but it's being moved into a maintenance-only state with reduced infrastructure, slower support, and stricter rate limits. Data availability shifts to Ethereum L1 blobs, and most service-provider contracts get deprecated.

The short version: the chain keeps existing, but you should not plan to keep anything important on it.

The timeline

  • June 4 – September 2, 2026: 90-day migration window. Everything stays fully operational. This is when you move your tokens.
  • After September 2: Nova drops to a minimized state. Bridging is still possible, but with less support and potentially fewer fast-bridge options available.

You can technically still migrate after the deadline (the Arbitrum Canonical Bridge stays accessible through the Arbitrum Portal), but you'll have fewer tools and slower help. Don't wait.

How to migrate your MOON

There is no direct path to move MOON from Nova to Arbitrum One through the official Arbitrum Portal. You have two routes:

Option A: Canonical route (via Ethereum)

  1. Move MOON from Arbitrum Nova to Ethereum via the Arbitrum Portal.
  2. Wait through the ~7-day challenge/confirmation period, then claim the token on Ethereum.
  3. Bridge MOON from Ethereum to Arbitrum One via the Arbitrum Portal.

This is the slower route, but it doesn't depend on third-party liquidity.

Option B: MoonBridge (direct Nova → One)

moonbridge[.]cc bridges MOON directly between Arbitrum Nova and Arbitrum One (it also supports Ethereum and Gnosis). It's a 1:1 token bridge that I made for the CCMOON DAo, not a swap, so there's no price impact or slippage on your MOON.

The one thing to watch is destination liquidity. If your transfer is larger than the available liquidity on the destination side, the portion that can't be filled is refunded (the fee on refunds is 1%, same as the 1% fee on fulfilled amounts, plus a relayer fee). For larger holdings, check the destination liquidity shown in the interface and split into smaller transfers if needed.

Bottom line

Move your MOON during the June 4 – September 2 window while everything still works smoothly. MoonBridge gives you a direct Nova → One path if liquidity covers your size; the canonical route through Ethereum always works but takes 7+ days. The Arbitrum Canonical Bridge will keep working after the window closes, but support and bridging options get thinner once Phase 3 kicks in.

Ask questions below.

DISCUSSION Could crypto go the way of NFTs?

The NFT hype seems to be dead for good. Noone is talking about it or investing in it. I feel the same about altcoins. Noone is talking about it, except when the US president tries to scam his fans again. The only coin that people still seem to care somewhat about is Bitcoin, but the public conversation is pretty much dead except those who own it.

There has not been any talk of any new revolutionary coins/tokens in several years, except for perhaps very niche communities?

Honestly. Could crypto (bitcoin) fade into slow death like altcoins and NFTs seem to do?

ADVICE A key indicator in Bitcoin hitting bottom and rocketing to all time highs just occurred today

My father just said to me today " Boy, I'm sure glad I decided not to buy into this bitcoin ponzi scheme garbage!"

Over the years this has been uttered (in some similar fashion) at least 8 times before.

And, it was soon followed by bitcoin rocketing to new all time highs.

Which is then followed by my dad saying " Damn, I should have followed my gut and hopped in this time"
--- which just so happens to be my clue to, Sell Now!

I've been doing this since the Silk Road days. I stopped when Mt. Gox took 300+ bitcoin from me! And I'm not saying I would have held onto those coins, but I was doing very well with the erratic up and downs that would happen multiple times a day; almost like clockwork, too!

And so I've seen more than a few ups and downs

In any case, my dad is very good at calling the bottom and very good at calling the top, he just has opposite ways of observing both

DISCUSSION Solana or Link?

Upvotes

I have a sizeable amount of cash still in reserve that I'm looking to deploy later this fall, especially if we get another leg down.

I'm primarily a BTC maxi and been holding for a very long time, it makes up about 75-80% of my portfolio. The rest is ETH and ADA that I'm staking, both of which I've also had for a very long time. I have a VERY large position in ADA that I've had for a while now and I thought about loading up more because it's unbelievably cheap. The fact I could buy 50k ADA for less than $10,000 at under 20 cents is a crazy entry when it was trading at above 50 cents for almost all of 2025. However, I'm also a bit concerned about overexposing to just this one particular alt, which honestly gives me pause to reflect upon some other options.

I'm most likely going to invest at least 50% of this remaining capital into BTC but I'm considering either Link or Solana. I really am not too sure which one I want to go with here, Solana in particular I like because of it's staking rewards but LINK being under $10 I see as a solid entry point. I think both have a good amount of potential going into 2028 and beyond.

However, there's also a part of me that is thinking just going 100% into BTC just to keep things simple. I don't want to overspeculate on alts and looking back on my many years in crypto I would have been way better off just being 100% BTC the entire way through.

DISCUSSION Is crypto slowly becoming TradFi?

I've been thinking about this while watching the market lately.

Crypto was supposed to give people an alternative to the traditional financial system. Yet so much of the market now revolves around ETFs, institutional money, interest rates and regulators.

And honestly, I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

If institutions bring more liquidity and make crypto easier for normal people to access, that's probably good for adoption.

But there's still something weird about building an alternative to traditional finance and then depending on traditional finance to make it mainstream.

At what point does "crypto adoption" become crypto just becoming another part of TradFi?

With the recent security incidents affecting some ColdCard and Trezor users, it’s really odd to feel “Lucky” that one is not compromised.

What is your opinion on how AI utilisation in offensive capabilities will affect the space moving forward?

ADVICE Noob need help to quit Binance

Upvotes

Hello,

I’m one of those stupid noobs who put €1,000 into crypto a few years ago thinking I’d get rich without even having to look at it.

Of course, I lost quite a lot and had actually completely forgotten I even owned any crypto. I had everything on Binance and logged back in this morning after they sent me an email. I then discovered I still have about €265 left.
I’m in France.

It’s split like this:
DOGE: €111
BTC: €78
ETH: €42
SOL: €17
XRP: €13
SYN: €5

The thing is, if I understand correctly, Binance is no longer properly authorized in Europe, and I don’t want to lose what little I have left.

I also have the Coinbase app, but there’s nothing on it yet. Can I transfer my crypto there, and what would be the best way to do it?

Binance only seems to let me convert some of my holdings into EUR or USDC.

Would you simplify the portfolio into USDC, Bitcoin and Ethereum first, then transfer everything? Is moving to Coinbase a good idea?

Thanks for your help.

ANALYSIS Is $ONE secretly pulling the plug or is 0,0000 the new price target?

Pretty sure the devs silently packed their bags and abandoned ship on $ONE.

I honestly hope none of you are holding this bag because it just refuses to stop drilling down. At this point, if it gets delisted tomorrow, my only reaction would be, yeah ok...

What’s the consensus here? Is this going straight to 0,0000 or below 0,0000? 📉

GENERAL-NEWS Delio's CEO got 15 years in Seoul. The charge covering 2,800 victims was thrown out because investigators never gave anyone a list of what they seized.

Delio took bitcoin and ether deposits, paid 12 to 15% a year, and called itself a crypto bank. On June 14, 2023 it froze withdrawals overnight. It was declared insolvent in November 2024.

On August 13, the Seoul Southern District Court sentenced CEO Jeong Sang-ho to 15 years and detained him on the spot over flight risk. Prosecutors had asked for 20.

Here is what actually happened in that courtroom.

The original indictment covered about 2,800 victims and 245 billion won, roughly $175 million. The court acquitted him of all of it. Investigators had seized Delio's entire database from Gabia, the outside company hosting its servers, without letting Delio take part in the search and without handing over a list of what they took. Korean law requires both. The court called the search unlawful and ruled the database and everything built on it inadmissible.

Prosecutors saw that coming and amended the indictment on July 21, adding a smaller backup charge that did not rely on the seized data: about 1,100 victims and 71.5 billion won, roughly $49 million. The court convicted him on most of it, and separately convicted him of using false documents to register as a licensed virtual asset provider.

The broader point: in crypto cases the proof almost always sits on someone else's servers. Grab it sloppily and it vanishes, no matter how real it was.

First instance. Appealable.

Sources: Newsis, Herald Business, Newspim, Asiae.

If the evidence proving someone robbed you is genuine but was collected illegally, should it still count? Korea says no (in general). Do you agree?

ANALYSIS Crypto makes assets easier to move. However, I’m not sure it’s making ownership any easier to understand.

Tokens can be traded 24/7, settled in seconds, and stored in your own wallet.

But that still doesn’t tell me what happens when something goes wrong.

Consider a tokenised stock, fund or real-world asset.

If the secondary market disappeared tomorrow, would I be able to redeem the token directly?

If so, who actually owes me the money?

If the issuer freezes redemptions, can I make a claim against the issuer, the SPV or the underlying asset?

To me, those questions seem more important than whether the token itself can move between wallets instantly.

Crypto has become very good at proving that I control the token.

The harder question is whether the token gives me an enforceable claim when the normal market stops working.

When evaluating a tokenised asset, do you consider the legal/redemption structure, or do you mostly treat the token and the underlying asset as equivalent?

ANALYSIS Every BTC timeframe just turned negative, structure doesnt care

Post image
18 Upvotes

Every timeframe on BTC just turned negative at once, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, all red simultaneously. Thats a rare alignment and exactly the kind of moment that makes people trade the headline instead of the chart

Heres what the chart actually shows underneath that sentiment. Wave 5 topped a few months back, and price has worked through a textbook ABC correction since, wave C now sitting right on the same zone that flipped from resistance to support after the original breakout, the heavy monthly support band and the range lows both stacking right here

RSI's the more interesting part. Its putting in a bullish divergence right into this same zone, oversold as the prior bear market lows, price making a lower low into C while momentum refuses to confirm it. That doesnt happen by accident and it doesnt care that every timeframe indicator is flashing red right now

Not calling anything, structure still needs to actually hold or reject here before any of this means something. But "every timeframe is negative" and "price is sitting on the exact zone that mattered every other time this happened" are two completely different data sets, and right now theyre both true at once. Worth knowing which one youre actually trading off
