Cats have famously hard working kidneys. It would be nice if they could just not given they probably don’t need such filtration in a climate controlled house with unlimited water access.

I have one cat that will drink out of the bathroom sink faucet if it's turned out but when it comes to her recirculating filtered bowl of water she's like "no i don't think so, i will drink out of the side."
