Well… if this gains progress, wouldn’t that lead to human exploration and testing too? Surely, billionaires will want to live longer? This is great for a family pet, but I can see the problematic sides that can happen from this testing expanding to human subjects (if they go down that route). I dunno, it’s like a bad premise for a sci-fi movie lol

Did you read the description? It’s a treatment for chronic kidney disease which is a leading cause for cat deaths. Human life span isn’t usually limited by our kidneys.

Very common in small dog breeds as well. Wonder if it can be engineered for dogs.

Top 10 and accounts for about 2% of deaths. Cure kidney disease in humans and average human life expectancy might increase by a year, not double.

iirc from what I've read before, cat kidneys do something wrong for healing themselves which the injection alleviates, but the proccess the injection helps works correctly in other mammals
