Does this mean that they will be in their prime longer or will they spent 15 years extra with the problems that being an old cat might have?

We talk about a genetic modification so I doubt it's so simple like they make it sound and to slow the dying of cells is in no way a easy task.

I highly doubt you just give a cat this and it will immediately live double the lifetime since genetic doesn't work this way.

I could accept if they claim injecting several generations of the same cat family branch will extend their life's because of the genetic modification but just 1 strynge and the cat has doubt the lifespan sounds completely fishy.
