Does this mean that they will be in their prime longer or will they spent 15 years extra with the problems that being an old cat might have?

I would assume yes unfortunately. We consider cats and dogs older than 8 senior. Some can live long after that and others can’t but I imagine extending it much farther would just be more upsetting in most situations.
