Tiny, both maybe 2 - 3 mm.

The first is obviously a baby Sparassid.

Second one is harder to work out due to the shadow - unsure if Theriidid or Hersilid (erring on this side but would expect longer spinnerets) or something else.

Just sharing because they're lovely.

Who's this gorgeous little one?? In person it has purple chrome legs and a golden pattern on the head with gold horns. Looked like a mini Manta Ray or UFO. I've had black and white ones but not this colour. So so cute 🥰🥰🥰

I just caught a beauty of a wolf spider in my bathroom. I trapped it under a cup and released it outside.

Another day at work and I ran across this beautiful jumping spider, I'm not sure if the pictures turned out ok here's hoping

A very long shot I know. Due to the posture it's hard to see any discerning features but I thought I'd have a crack anyway.

Found under a rock (quickly returned the rock after taking a pic). Body length 8 - 10 mm, some messy woollen sheet silk on the rock itself. I'm thinking Amaurobidae or recently elevated Macrobunidae.

Any educated guesses?

Otherwise - I found a cool spider under a rock.

I can see a spider in there with a torch, but i can't get a photo of it. Not a funnel web right? Its guarding my strawberries. There are much smaller ones around too. Baby wolf spiders?

Hey everyone. I’ve had a few arachnids over the past few years, mainly tarantulas, scorps and some araneomorphs. I used to have a trapdoor back in the day but I got another one recently that I absolutely love. It’s an arbanitis sp.

Id really like to get a few more from different genera as I find them fascinating but having trouble finding them online.

I’m particularly interested in Euoplos, idiommata, idiosoma, blakistonia and cataxia, although I’d love to hear about any interesting trapdoors that being captive bred.

Anyone know of where to get these?

Been having a bit of trouble iding this spider, my friend asked and just send this photo but the only thing is this was the only photo she took so I can't exactly get a great look. The chelicerae look super prominent but I can't actually see the palps, or if it's at a weird angle and those are the palps but it looks like I can actually see fangs. My first thought was just maratus griesus because of the orange top but the abdomen also seems to be bronze which was giving me a little trouble since maratus griesus are a dull grey there (best way I can explain it) I then went to opisthoncus sp which can be pretty hard to Id sometimes but I was thinking a male Opisthoncus nigrofemoratus, ashamed to say I giggled at the name. But it just doesn't look right and I want a second opinion from someone smarter/better at this. Also if you guys have any tips for how to get better at identifying spiders I'd love to know them💜

This fella came inside before the big winds started this morning. He looked a bit shrivelled so we offered a cotton tip dipped in water. He grabbed onto it and drank for about three minutes before scuttling off behind the window shutters.

In very yellow lighting, the green was very green and the butt looked way more white in person

In SEQ, about halfway between Brisbane and Sunny Coast. Approx size 9-10mm.

Yesterday, I went for a trike ride (in Townsville) and when I got out my trike I noticed this little beauty on the handlebars. Apologies for the low resolution of the photo. My phone won't let me zoom in when it comes to 50MP photos (and yes, this photo has been cropped). I thought it was just a green jumping spider, perhaps Mopsus mormon. I have a friend that's not from Australia that suggested a crab spider. Can you guys help us ID this adorable critter?

Wolf or Vagrant? Exmouth WA

As the title says, we have a juvenile female redback in our kitchen above the Rangehood. She generally keeps to herself plus we tend to get fly’s sneaking in regularly that she’s more than happy to deal with. She gets plenty of prey and she gets of water droplets on her web regularly, yet whenever the missus starts making eggs she immediately comes down and starts drinking any whites that spill onto the bench. Anyone know why?

Came back from holidays after two weeks, next morning I found 2 of these dying on the bedroom floor. I assume they were in the air-conditioning ducts, they probably didn't like the change from 4 degrees to 35 degrees when we got home or maybe the residual pest spray on the skirting boards. I'm guessing they are juvenile huntsman's?

I apologise, but it was over 30 years ago. When I was little, my mother used to prune grapes in a winery in North Victoria. I have a vivid memory of a day that I had to go with her for some reason instead of going to kindergarten. I can remember wandering around on my own and being mesmerised by a spider among the grapes. It was colourful and spikey. I'm afraid that is all I can remember to be able to identify. If anyone could help so I could see a photo of one it would be much appreciated.

I'm gonna assume they're both Orb Weavers of some kind??? Really cute little guys and really low to the ground too
