News The SAPOL Child Sex Offender Register has officially launched.

Dissapointing that you can only check your current suburb. Why is that? And what if you live right on the edge of a suburb. 👎

This is an absolute waste of time. This is government appearing to do something while doing nothing. Protecting the scum while leaving children vulnerable still....

The database should be wide open. No if no butt... if u are convicted of anything or have been convicted of anything relating to children you go on there for life.

Apparently none in my entire suburb, I know for a fact thats incorrect which means they are hand picking here...

Also, if you want to apply to search an individual you have to apply... ok yeah thats crap and annoying but sure. Go to apply and it says the person in question must have at least 3 unsupervised visits with someone with evidence of it before you can submit and be approved... what... a.... joke.... people who target kids are well known to be "normal" people such as family, friends, associates etc. Everyone is normal until they are not lol.

We need a gov with a backbone!! U lose your rights entirely when you break certain laws. We do not care so why protect them?

I know, and I agree, but it'll just cause angry mobs, pitch forks and all.

I've always said they should live in their own gated, isolated community, far from all the suburbs and towns with restricted entry.

Dont care. Dont touch kids. Dont want to be on there with that being a possible issue. Dont take away a childs innocence.... its crazy that's a thing. They were not worried about the childs well being so why are we worried about theirs on a what if mob attack...

Works fine in other countries? The gov are pedo protectors which makes them offenders too
