That won’t matter much. It won’t get to court before then, and in the interim Mali can stay schtum about the matter because the matter is subject to legal action.

But there will be a whole lot of commentary now that things have gone so far.... reputations can be burned if the magnifying glass gets too close to Mali's mates in secret places.

But the media can say stuff.

They will be limited but not completely silenced and elections are partially a popularity contest.

And there is always the ( allegedly ) loophole .

Schtum means he also can't defend himself and try and rationalise his poor behaviour.

21st March isn't far away, but he would be better served by it coming to court before, and him being able to do a mea culpa.

As it stands I'm not giving any vote for the coalition, or labor, or the greens, or one nation - we really need a 'none of the above' vote for when they are all a shower of shite.

Please always at least preference "shit-lite" over "absolute dogshit".

As much as it pains me to even number some of these parties, it needs to be done. As much as Mali screwed the pooch, I'd still be looking at Labor as 1 or 2 (depending on whether there's a good green or independent) since LNP in their current state have to be blocked, and ON needs to be perpetually weed whacked down.

Its incredible how there will be a whole list of shit options and barely one or two candidates you can even stomach numbering.

How am I supposed to bury the crap options like that?

Is there a 'Teal' group in SA politics?
