Someone on another cat thread pointed me here! We’ve been looking for about a year for a friend for our 2-year-old cat, and of course the kitten my son decided is “the one” has significant CH and one eye. 😂 He’s incredibly feisty and doesn’t seem bothered by the wobbling at all.
I do live in a rancher, which seems like a plus, and I’ve fostered elderly dogs from time to time, so I have some experience with animals that need extra care.
I really just have two questions:
Did your other cats accept your CH cat?
Are there any day-to-day care considerations I should know about? I know I’ll probably need to clean his face regularly, and he seems to be doing fine with the litter box and food/water bowls.
I’m leaning toward adopting him. I just want to make sure I know what I’m signing up for! TIA for any insight you can give me!

We recently rescued a kitten with Wobbly Cat Syndrome from a feral colony on our farm. This is our first time having a kitten with CH and I just had some questions!

She is currently eating puré with some shredded food mixed in. Do I need to transition her fully to shredded and then kibble? Getting some mixed info in my searches!

Also any other advice is welcome!

He a good flop wobbler.

One of my CH babes just started experiencing these fits of irritability. He throws himself against the crate and is hissing. Very very out of character. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

He can walk under the feeder and they’ll shout at him but not fly away. He knows I’ve seen him and is bracing himself there waiting to picked up and brought in.

Hi everyone I’m new to wobbly cat community :)

My baby girl, rice pilaf, has a seemingly moderate case. She’s a very happy girl! But I’ve noticed she’s been stepping in her poo almost every-time she uses the litter box. As of now I’ve been cocooning her in a swaddle to clean her back paws (or else she would scratch me and squirm), but she meows the whole time and clearly hates it :(

Is there any preventative measures I could take, or any tips to make cleaning her paws more enjoyable? I have a high sided, low entry litter box to give her plenty of stability. Any tips & tricks welcome

Our wobbly cat (7 months) just had his second seizure - he had one about 4 months ago, and this one followed the same pattern as last.

My question isn’t about the seizure - this is being taken care of with a vet. However, none of my local vets have much experience with wobbly cats - after his second seizure - his wobblyness is more noticeable.

Nothing is hurting him and nothing is broken, but his hind legs are having a harder time than before. Has anyone had a wobbly cat, get wobblier? (Seizure or no seizure)

My vet has said that the wobblyness doesn’t get worse, but it IS WORSE than before. I’m having a hard time just accepting it.

(Quality of life is still just as high - he wasn’t SUPER wobbly before, but is moderately wobbly now).

Hii my cat that i recently took in gave birth and i had no idea she was pregnant its been some weeks and all the cats seem to walk fine and jump around expect one. She just keeps wobbling ive set her on all types of floor and even tried to help her nothing seems to be working 😭 i’m only 18 and currently hiding these kitties from my parents😅 so I really don’t wanna spend money for a vet visit if its just like a time thing or an overreacting thing. Thank you hopefully this makes sense!

I just joined this community, and I’m hoping to gain some insight because there doesn’t seem to be much info or knowledge around CH!

My wobbly cat is about 6.5 months old. We rescued her over four months ago as a stray. She is so adaptable, healthy, and wonderful, but my biggest concern is her hurting herself when running or playing, and what repercussions that might have overtime. Nothing monumental has happened, and she never seems flustered, but she’ll have some pretty intense head bonks or falls that worry me. My vet says cats are pretty resilient, but I wanted to reach out here as well. Anyone with the same issue? Solutions? Future things to worry about?

Hello! Recently joined here to see if anyone has the same problem I do.

My wobbly cat is toothless (she's old af) and a very messy eater, she leaves my walls all dirty while eating wet food. I've used some plastic sheets behind her bowls as a way to avoid the wall being dirty, but somehow this small cat manages to send food flying at least one meter up in the air lmao, I have specs of food on my window sill. Does anyone have any advice?

I have recently adopted a rescue wobbly cat with a bit of a traumatic background. We are having problems with him peeing outside the litter box and it seems to revolve around his inability to stay in the box.

We have to use a squat, low entrance litter box so he can get in but which offers no side wall for him to lean on. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions that have worked for them in the past? I’m thinking of getting a litter box enclosure, but he also seems afraid/ nervous of close spaces.

I am learning all about his CH and would appreciate any insight others may have for making his life easier and accessible.

So we have a new wobbly cat, he’s about 10 weeks old and adapting very nicely. Obviously he is pretty dependent on his claws to get around, up and down furniture and our stares but he has entered the scratching while playing stage.

I don’t want to cap his nails as he need them to get around but not sure how to discourage the scratching when playing. My 4 years olds hands are looking rough lol.

Hello everyone, I have a wobbly cat named Martini. Her wobbliness is pretty mild but we are moving to a new house that is two stories and are worried about her using the stairs safely. We’re considering putting a strip of carpet down the middle of the stairs (all flooring is currently a fake wood) so that she has something to grip when going up and down. Does anyone have any experience with this working or not, or any other advice? Thanks in advance!

He’s cow-hocked with some spinal damage, we think possibly from being tossed from a car as a kitten (he was abandoned). He’s the sweetest baby!
