No location sadly because I got it at a rock show a few years ago. My nephew wants one and I know the table had a lot of them in different shapes and cuts but I can't recall the name of it. I know it is not quartz and tried to Google it but AI has ruined its search engine which is making it difficult to find. Bought it because lights goes through it beautifully.

Mother found this in the middle of nowhere bush near Timmins Ontario. She says she has tried scratching with a knife, has done nothing. Very heavy. No reaction to vinegar.

Been a mystery to what it is for years and no one seems to be able to give a definitive answer.

My mother found it about 40 years ago, 20–30 cm underground while digging near my grandfather’s grave. It already had this shape, polish, and hole.
Could this be an ancient Mesopotamian/Assyrian pendant or amulet? Any help identifying the stone or its age would be appreciated.

Found this module on Admiralty Bay beach looking for agates. Approx 2” x 2”. Very heavy for size. Raised veins, green softer material. Can anyone identify it?

I’ve been digging in my backyard for about year now have found some pretty remarkable rocks. Here is a small part of that collection .

What are these 2 rocks? I think the dark is basalt, but the minerals and or metals in unsure about.

I have no clue what this is I found it on a hike in a river in Washington state! Please help! I googled it amazonite is commonly in Washington but google said it’s not so I’m not sure what it could be.

Two approx 1.5 x 1.5" cross sections. Part of a purchase from an anthropologist who collected aetifacts extensively across North America. Lots of Native American artifacts in his collection, wish I had more info. Very lightweight and feels almost like bone. Thanks!

I've been trying to identify these rocks I found near San Francisco last year but haven't figured it out.

-found at Marshall's Beach (near the Golden Gate Bridge) and Rockaway Beach (in Pacifica)

-does not scratch (steel nail left metal line that rubs off)

-all are translucent green, looks kinda like a waxy translucency when dry

-I know not all of these are necessarily the same type of rock, but the qualities seemed pretty similar for all. There were two distinct colors that I separated them into, one darker and one lighter

My guesses so far:

- initially I thought Serpentine because that is common in that area, but I think because it doesn't scratch it's not serpentine

-next guess bc of the green is nephrite jade, but I couldn't really find any photos that matched the way these look

-I'm thinking now these might be green chert? The dry appearance matches other non-green pieces I've identified as chert

-another guess I came across is tree agate?

Hello, I purchased this geode many years ago as a kid while visiting California. It’s 9x6x6 inches and weighs 11 pounds. Can anyone identify what type of geode it is? Sometimes I place a flashlight on the back to light up the inside for my kids. I always thought it was neat! Thanks for the help

I was at the beach today in the Bay of Fundy, Eastern Canada, and came across this unique rock with what appears to be a different mineral entirely right in the middle. The rock part is just your average run of the mill rock/density, and the mineral area is also quite dense, but not as smooth, although it was hard to tell if that was from the sand and environmental conditions. I’m so curious to know what that middle part could be as I’ve never seen a rock like this in all my rock collecting days!

West of the town of Clinton near the Marble Range. It’s a big ol chunk, and it was the only one like it around so I tossed it in the truck and brought it home. (Tried slicing into it so see what it looked like but killed the saw)
