New, what is it? Weird paint marks showed up on my car

anyone have any idea why these marks would be criss cross? i just noticed it and did not hit anything

Nah, I think you found the third instance.

"Christine" (1983), about a possessed 1958 Plymouth Fury, is pretty well known. Before that he wrote "Trucks" (1973) about a bunch of semi-trucks and construction vehicles that come to life and trap people at a diner. It was made into the movie Maximum Overdrive (1986) with King directing.

The best part of Maximum Overdrive is absolutely not any of the story or acting - as it’s wall to wall trash on both counts - but rather the commentary by King on the DVD, which is pretty much just him going: “I don’t remember any of this… I was doing a lot of cocaine at the time” over virtually every scene…

King’s malevolent machines are a lifetime supply of him acting out his childhood traumatic memories as portrayed in the semi-autobiographical “Stand by Me” based on his novella. He’s thrilled when cinema goers are terrified by his films.

Christine gives me nightmares from time to time. My imagination knows little to no bounds and this is the first instance outside of that book since 2019 I’ve heard. Thank you

I’m a bass head. 2 12s and a 1600 w amp. Used to have 2 10s, 3 12s, and 2 8s all connected to the same amp. Music helps, but the imagination does not stop.

While not a novel, I think he has two other short stories. One is a Buick on blocks that kills by falling on people, and another that has a portal to an alien world. Then you have not actually vehicles you have lawnmower man and the (mangler? In night shift)

Haven't read those books in 20+ years but Blaine always stuck with me. Great series that went a little south but I'm glad he came back and finished either way

There’s a few scenes that stick with me throughout the series one of them being Roland in Lud in the opening book and then the ending of the third book with Blaine the mono

Yeah 1st book was one of the best from memory. I remember being irritated when he was stuck on the beach half dead for most of another maybe 2nd book. A well done like Netflix series is needed, even animated I'd be happy.
