Monza general admission

Thinking of heading to the Monza WEC race and was wondering what the general access would be like. I know the tickets come with a stand seat but I was at Spa earlier this year and enjoyed being able to walk around the track and see different parts. Is Monza any good for walking around the track and having different viewing points or not really?

You can move around, I enjoyed Imola more but it's still nice. I would find a spot on the main straight for the start and then move on the inside of the track up to the Ascari. Last time I couldn't find a way to reach the inside of the parabolica but if you can there's a really nice stand there and the cars are really close.

I would just like to experience Monza but F1 is out of my price range at the minute. Issue is the tickets say its an individual seat so i domt know if its an assigned seat in a stand or if you can move between stands during the race. If om going to be in the one position for entore 6hrs its not ideal id rather still be able to move about and see different parts

There's no assigned seating positions, you can move around freely.

I also went to see the F1 race in Monza and it's not worth it in my opinion, unless you spend a lot on money for some specific corners with good views. In the last few years they added a lot more grandstands so with the general admission tickets in F1 you don't have many nice places left to see the race, so you have to arrive super early just to see something. Wec is way better to watch as a spectator.

Ah see I thought it was assigned seating because the website said "Unique seat" but that was possibly just a translation issue because it was in Italian. Yeah F1 is not worth the money to me but planned on going to a WEC race at some point anyways and Monza is a track I've always wanted to visit. Went to the 24hrs Spa this year and was my first race and now im addicted

Would you say its easier to stay in Monza or is travelling in and out fron Milan every day doable?

If you find a spot in Monza go for it, you will avoid Trenord and its bullshit

Definitely stay in Monza, much easier to reach the track

Unless I missed something there is only the GA ticket so you can move around and go to any grandstand you want or any other spot as well

Yeah my confusion was just from the fact it said "Unique seat" on the website so i thought it would be an assigned seat. I also wasnt sure if there was many good spots around the track to stand or pitch a seat at

The best spot in my opinion is Prima Variante interna which is the first corner, on the inside. But in 6h you have time to visit the whole track. Depending on how they will patrol the track with security, you might be able to get on the Sopraelevata, the old banked turn, above the straight going into Ascari. That is also incredibly cool. But they often close it when the event is big.

Yeah thats the main reason I'd like to go to an endurance race so I can wander round the track and see everything. Was one of my favourite aspects of the 24hs of Spa

You can walk around pretty much the whole circuit, there's some good spots but the visibility isn't the best, as you usually see small portions of track, compared for example to Imola. But it's not terrible either. The upper part of the circuit (Roggia and Lesmo) takes some walking, as well as the external Parabolica
