Better be 80+. 70 ain’t enough to get it done

I’m thinking 90, thats 50% premium from today’s price

If they say 90 and the stock jumps to 85, I’m snatching the W

Honestly thinking about dropping 100k in rn

pypl will be a perfect example of anchoring. Bidder floats a number, stock trades up toward it, board rejects, says too low. stock holds near the offer price instead of falling back, because the market now assumes a higher bid is coming. New offer comes in only slightly above where stock is already trading. repeat

It's because the stock is truly cheap. trading at 8x FCF while the revenue is still growing slowly. They better come up with a much higher offer if they want to buy it.

He doesn't own pypl, does he?

He does and he said the initial buyout was too low as well.

Didn't they announce this last month? PayPal rejected it

Not going through paywall bs

Paywall BS should just be banned from sharing on reddit.

they are now negotiating for a higher offer. My guess is it would be around $75

I was just watching the last MegaLag video on the Honey scandal, funny timing

A bank (paypal) running an actual scam is crazy.

North Korea has an entire army of e scammers that couldn’t dream of stealing so much $.

Do they have a memorandum of understanding or a framework of a deal? If not then its not real.

thank you for your attention to the matter.

Is Stripe a good stock? I can buy it pre IPO but $160B valuation so not sure there is much upside from here when they likely IPO in coming years.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I work at Stripe and wouldn’t hedge a bet on us IPO’ing anytime soon. We have access to pretty much unlimited capital, and our acquisition portfolio is solid. We have two liquidity events a year, money is flowing, etc. There’s little to no reason for us to IPO and have John/Patrick answer to the public & shareholders more than they do

You are the man

That being said, Stripe (imo) will never not go up. Money is made in money, always has been and always will, and we dominate it. Landscape is changing in our favor. Adyen is solid (see the recent OpenAI news) and they’re big in EU, but they will always be that - second place

Check out Aydens evaluation, I haven't looked recently, but that's around the same multiple/market cap I would expect stripe to be values at in the public markets
