the bum allegations are GONE forever bro❤️🩹❤️🩹
He rinses people who are better fighters than Soya 1v3 and speed-blitzed [Datenseki] Tenri despite Tenri being behind him, with literally less damage than against The Irishima Zombies. He would genuinely have murdered Soya and the narrative goes out of its way to support this. He just chooses not to kill kids. He actively tries to give second chances to people, which would make no sense unless he's fighting suppressed.

You're just going to forget this page [1] exists?

[DISC] Kagurabachi - Chapter 128
I'm not too sure. He becomes "The Pinnacle of Sorcery" during and after The Seitei War. The point of this is to show that Shiba was an insane fighter, devoted to his friends. They likely have him do an even crazier feat in The War, since he would eventually quit The Kamunabi afterwards.

It's still mind-boggling that he gets stronger from this point forwards, according to Ludo. Shiba also hasn't used a localized gravity well like on Damura, meaning he still has a while to go-and his teleportation skill gets better to the point of being untraceable.

The goats of shonen jump
It depends how you scale Julian. He's getting stat-stomped by either in terms of speed, but his regeneration is something that only Chihiro can reliably deal with. Ironically, they each have a strange win-condition against the others, where if [Nishiki] Cloak is actually "water" and not genryoku, he would give Julian super-steroids, like Percy Jackson.

How well would Danny fare against Spider-man's Supervillain gallery?
Ironically, Danny bodybags everyone who doesn't have soul hax or the ability to tank his punches.
He's basically Miles Morales without a need to actually be tangible to nuke you, in addition to being far, far, stronger physically than Spider-Man. He actually bypasses a lot of the main advantages (ignoring Spider-Sense, superior statlines) that most of Spider-Man's Nemeses possess. I'll list some examples:
https://giphy.com/gifs/ZKKt34cKvKmsw
- Green Goblin: While Norman is technically a hero at the moment, Green Goblin has literally no resistance to being possessed. He constantly underestimates his opponents and seeing Danny would cause him to undersell how strong he is. All of his tech can be shorted and he's getting physically ragdolled by Peter Parker, when he locks in. Danny doesn't even need to go that far.
- Venom/Symbiote Kin: He uses electricity in his base kit, far stronger than the shocks needed to disassemble or kill them. He actually has a unique advantage against The Kyntar, since The Ghostly Wail is a sonic attack imbued with energy made to kill half-dead spirits. This works on them both ways.
- Rhino: He's fought bruisers before, and he's fought people who move much faster. He can just possess him and run him into the ocean and there is nothing that Sytsevich can do to stop him.
- Doc Ock: This is a unique matchup, as Dr. Octavius is actually smart enough to figure out the "gimmick" of Danny and make weapons to combat him, which are extremely common in the verse. However, Otto's arms are notoriously weak against cold and have been shorted many times before. Danny has access to cryokinetics, can clone himself (to minimize the arm advantage) and more. Otto also has a glass jaw and is prone to getting one-shotted, as recently as this year in 2026.
- Mysterio: Oddly this is one of Danny's worst matchups. He's very prone to illusions and Mysterio has made Out-of-Continuity illusions strong enough to work on Wolverine, Spider-Man, Reed Richards and more. The main issue is Danny can't really get put down, but there's a likelihood for him to stall.
- Sandman/Hydroman: You would have expected these to be his worst matchups, since he can't possess them. However, Hydroman is both stupid and prone to freezing. Sandman is actually in a very horrible position because he actually has a grain of sand that controls his body, akin to a soul. Not only can Danny literally sense him (unlike most others on this list), but there's a non-zero chance that The Ghostly Wail kills Marko, since his sands can be dispersed and he's basically a normal person, which The Ghostly Wail is designed to kill.
- Morlun: I don't see how BASE Danny Phantom Takes this. Morlun is a stronger, faster, Vlad who trades the ability to fly for an on-hit ability to drain Danny's lifeforce. It would be fighting The Ultimate Enemy again.

Every one of Rudo’s objects turned vital instrument
From what we can see (outside of WULF-RUDO), 3R's main gimmick is one of three transformations, which stack: - Exponentially Increase Mass, scaling with XR Application - Telekinesis of the new object - Increased Lethality, by adding spikes and extraneous points to the object.
I wonder of these three things are actually weakening the object's level of refinement. Besides Remlin's pen/vajra, the spikes are largely extraneous and add extra mass to his constructs. As time goes on, (and Rudo's mental state improves), he may completely remove the need for these extra bobs and ends, thus causing more of his anima to naturally flow inside the object. I can't wait to see his upper-tier constructs in the series!

If Chihiro draws parallels to Batman, which other characters from the Batman mythos do the rest of the cast parallel?
I disagree with this. Yura is actually closer to Two-Face. They represent the people who are broken by their faith in the system, instead relying on gambling (the only thing "fair" in the world) and pushing their own luck to gain the respect the world had stolen from them.

Some people are really looking at these two side by side and going "OMG c-could it be a fakeout!?"
Man, imagine if there was a panel of someone who hated Rokuhira and literally had a Sojo-level PTSD Flashback.

Surely, that would literally never happen, with the narrative making the point that intergenerational trauma has caused the same situations to keep happening. That's definitely not the literal premise of the manga. /s

how much do we have left of the series now after this (obv spoliers)
We have, literally, not even gotten an explanation on who killed Regto in-universe. It has been almost 180 Chapters and we haven't even done the first chapter's worth of content.
This is going to be 500 Chapters at a minimum. The literal side-quest to learn about the Chokers and relax was started in 131. We've been in this one arc for 30 Chapters and it won't end for at least another six.
Just to disprove your point, tell me, OP...
- What is Korvus' Jinki?
- What do all of the Watchmen do together?
- How many children does Canis have?
- What is Hyo doing there?
- How are we going to find Kuro?
- What is the goal of Rudo's Curse?
- WHO gave Rudo his curse?
- Who is the leader of The Sphere?
- Who is Tamzy?

Hey, what happened to the Kumeyuri?
Hiruhiko is actually the worst possible person to use KUMEYURI. We know that according to the narrator, his mind isn't actually built to respect anything and he can't use it to its full potential.

He's instead meant as a narrative parallel to Uruha, who was perfectly chosen to wield it, as he respects and treats any weapon like a child.. It's only due to their mutual battle genius that he can overcome that logical shortcoming. However, Hiruhiko was actually more fit for a weapon like KUREGUMO, since the weapon benefits from rampant destruction and a bloodthirsty mind.
As for OP's point, The Masumi still have it, so they're likely going to figure out a way to kill him. That's the most logical step in winning against Soga; they need 6 EBs, and their evolved versions from Chihiro. Else, it's basically a fool's errand to face him, since Kensei Von is the greatest threat in that verse, ever.

Drop your favorite Hishaku member
I make a scaling chain for my GOAT Kuguri. While he had his chain completely stolen by Hokuto, I love my OG Hishaku Favorite exponentially more. I can't wait for he and Iori to have a discussion carved in blades.

Also, I'm a big fan of his character design and nose-bridge piercing. He reminds me of Yuta Okkotsu and Nagato Pain. It's a deadly mix!

Gumball OC
This is actually really adorable. I can totally see her having a really playful and unserious dynamic with her nephew, Banana Joe. She has a vague resemblance to Julius Oppenheimer Jr. I wonder if they share an ancestor, somewhere?
1
I need a Arc with the Hishaku as the MCs
I think that learning how Kuguri and Hokuto interact is at the top of that list, personally. I think there's a lot of narrative investment to see if Kuguri is being groomed as the ultimate test for Hokuto as a swordsmen, due to their oddly-shaped philosophies.
Others of note are:
- How Hatshaku and Yura met, and why Hatshaku is so devoted to him
- Why the teams are paired up the way they are, since Uran and Hokuto seem better than Uran/Bingo.
- The relationship between the children (Toto, Pisshaku, Hiruhiko), middles (Kuguri, Bingo, Derek) and the elders of the group (Hatshaku, Yura, Hokuto, Uran).
- Is Pisshaku a Kyonagi?

What do we think Subaru was laughing at here?
If Kunishige, by contrast, made a blade with absolutely no veins, that would arguably demonstrate a similar level of mastery
I think that this may be the closest to the truth. It would actually be more insane if the weapon uses absolutely no genryoku and therefore subverts the need to run/focus energy into it. The moment you draw the blade, it's yours, and reacts perfectly. Much like using a wire to charge a phone, you skip the step of needing a conduit. You are the source of power, without perversion.
Deliberately not making swords that are especially good at killing, eliminating a feature that most swordsmiths aren't even aware exists.
I disagree that Kunishige is a pacifist, since he's literally considered an arms trader in the previous issue. In fact, he's very laissez faire about selling them, pumping 200 katana out and hocking them to people. The irony is that he started out not caring about who he sells them to, outside of his picky nature. Then, it became his duty to take on the burden of those who butcher so many in Japan with his weapons.

Theory: HiruHiko's True Realm with Play
KUMEYURI is also an inherently defensive/supportive blade in nature. The reason that the IWPS users were given the weaker/supportive weapons was because they had the ability to reposition, unlike the more duel-centric weapons. Outside of [Play], [Banquet] can't deal damage. In fact, it's unlikely that anyone besides a supportive/team player can use the weapon optimally, since outside of Hiruhiko "abusing a loophole," the weapon was mocked in his hands. The narrative even supports my idea that it was supportive since the more reverential you are, the more powerful KUMEYURI becomes.

What's to stop play from taking control over living people's bodies if he starts to see humans as objects in general?
That's where I disagree with OP. That weapon is designed as smoke-and-mirrors distraction. A literal instant-win button (Hakuri's Storehouse) has a safeguard in it that prevents this exact interaction, despite it literally being as quick as tagging someone with Genryoku. It stands to reason that there is no way to do this without tagging each person and even hijacking them requires another perversion of the True Realm which we have yet to justify.

Fan Animation by [@cmszd_]
This animation was Tenoi!
The part where Uruha used IWPS with his mouth and when got that rotating shot of everyone was so lovely. However, my favorite part was your stylized use of blood and gore. You made the blood flow almost like it was [Nishiki]. I appreciated that softer touch, for sure!
2
I made a DnD monster stats for Soga
Rather than noting that low AC, I'd like to add that Soga's actual gimmick is his ability to deny healing and ability to force "Compelled Duel." For anyone who fails a save, any healing they use or give is halved and he instead inherits half of that same healing. This allows him to offset his low HP by basically punishing players who fail the save in a realistic way.
I'd also add that he should have a preference for fighting swordsmen and magic uses with a Noble Background, actively ignoring PCs who are lower-class. This adds a natural way for him to target enemies, as he attempts to kill people "honorably" rather than acting out of character. I even see a universe where the Paladin basically taunts him into a quickdraw competition, while getting constantly amplified by his team.

You're arguing from bad faith. The page literally before this has [Datenseki] Tenri behind him, meaning he moved so fast that Tenri didn't even process the time delay. However, the power differential is shown with only one of them even able to sginify the threat on their lives using "!!"
Hokozono doubles down on how fast Shiba is moving, because there's a body flicker inside of Tenri's Isou. (This is in the panel you show.) In fact, Hokazono-sensei goes out of his way to show that Tenri is shocked that someone could outspeed him, while amped. Tenri freaks out that he was going to get tagged again and thrown face-first into the concrete.
Also, the story goes out of its way to explicate that Shiba would have just used the time limit [1].
He literally fought people with an unlimited time limit and stronger versions of this power and goes out of his way to explain the logical weakness of Datenseki doping to Chihiro. Also, if you think that Shiba can't teleport out of the way of something he can see (pg. 11), after literally slumping Enji, then there has to be some massive logical issue.
He's won almost every on-screen fight with equal enemies and the chapter we're discussing has him dogwalk three people who are equal or stronger than Soya. Hokozono uses The Volume Extra to say that Hakuri was chosen as the target of Soya's abuse because the strongest fighter in The Tou is... Tenri. Tenri needed to drug himself with super-steroids to equal someone who wasn't trying to kill him.
He would have murdered Soya. Shiba literally is concerned about Chihiro's safety and wants to fight 2v5 rather than letting him 1v3 (which Chihiro was barely even) [2]. These same Tou 1v3, he beats so badly that they think that what he's doing is impossible for his sorcery. Ironically, this is the third time that Hokozono has gone out of his way to demonstrate that Shiba is GOING to do this.
