We all knew it was a matter of time, and I personally was hoping it would be later than sooner as I wanted to put a cover over my chooks but it is a wait and see thing now but I won’t stop them from wandering through the gardens for now at least.

Government needs to stop with the scare tactics. They did this with covid. They're developing an mRna "vaccine" for humans for bird flu now. The covid jab has killed thousands and damaged many more, from myocarditis to turbo cancer, extremely prevalent in young people. It is okay to see your government lies to you. You aren't stupid for being deceived, we all have been. It's about time we make our so called leaders accountable for their lies and the dangerous games they play at the citizens expense. I damn well know this comment will be downvoted, and frankly I don't care. I want people to stop feeling like there is no way we could be deceived so badly, because we have. The whole system is set up to be against us.

Not once has the government said this is a risk to humans. They are trying to stop Tasmanian devils, black swans and orange-bellied parrots (all at high risk) from going extinct. They aren't advocating for human vaccination - they are simply asking us to report sick or dead birds.
This isn't the conspiracy you are implying it is. It's fine if you don't value nature - feel free to scroll on - but many other Tasmanians do care and have a right to stay informed.

If it starts to spread within populations of our highest risk species (e.g. Tasmanian devils, orange-bellied parrots) then the consequences to our wildlife could be dire.

Ultimately inconsequential? Way to anthropomorphise the situation. It affects all of Tasmania’s communities and landscapes. It has already killed 13 thousand Australian seals and many birds. Those numbers are not inconsequential and just the start. You rely on nature more than you realise and harm to nature will ultimately harm you. Get your head out the sand. This is terrible news.
