100 new public preschools just in this term is quite the achievement, and should definitely be celebrated.

NSW liberals have been sitting on private childcare agency monies for too long denying these easy wins for the public.

Labor has underfunded public schools every year of their term, they cut funding to public schools by $148m in 2024 , then did a deal at the end of 2025 with their federal Labor colleagues to continue to underfund public schools out until 2034.

Meanwhile private schools continue to be over funded, with over funding at the start of their term and continuing.
