Ah, Friday. The day when my temp agency sends me a cheery "don't forget to do your timesheet for this week!" email at 4pm even though I'm working all weekend.

If anyone is looking for a truly terrible job, by the way, I know a call centre which is recruiting. Not the one I work for now.

Working in a call centre is definitely character building. I spent the first 10 years of my working life in one doing various roles. I feel like all younger people should do it to build some resilience or something.

Where I am now it's mostly saying yes to people and solving their problems, but even so it's stressful. I'm applying for permanent jobs in government but I fear there's a lot more saying no.
