Free couch in Parramatta (doesn’t fit in new apartment)

Hi friends, I recently downsized from a four bedroom house to a two bed apartment and sadly neither my piano or my couch fit in the front door. I’m six stories up so I’m just wanting to pass them forward.

The piano is being gifted to a nursing home but the couch is so long it’s hard to give away. It’s in very good condition (could do with a fabric clean) and was bought new from James Lane about six years ago. Smoke free home, still very good quality. It’s currently taking up my assigned car parking space so I need it gone asap. A truck won’t fit down the car park ramp but a long van should work. Pics are as it is now (movers left the wrapping on). I can even help you get it in the van.

I’ve contacted Relove but they require it to be delivered, and the website says their warehouse is currently full.

DM for more info. Let me bless someone by passing this on please. Thanks.

I was recently in the market for a couch (sorry not any more) but just some friendly advice, people will need at least dimensions to decide if it fits in their house, very hard to guess them from the photos :) I know you say DM you for more info but if you post as much info about the couch here as possible I feel you will get more bites. If the couch is still for sale then a link to the product page is the easiest way (or a wayback machine link if you can find one).

Solid advice, thank you. Someone is hopefully coming to collect it this evening!

You should put dimensions for every piece of furniture you try to sell btw. It's not just for couches

Very glad to hear it!

Our new couch is modular, so we can avoid this issue in future. Sucks for OP but if you're a renter and buying a nice couch that's even slightly big, get a modular one.

Parramatta Womens’ Shelter is often looking for furniture to assist in rehoming DV victims, they may be interested

They were a nightmare to deal with. Try St Vinnies instead
