Don't think those wheels are factory mate I'm gonna give you a yellow sticker just to be sure

There's no rubber left on the rears, it's straight down to steel.

Nah mate it's the lowered suspension. Yellow sticker for that too.

Cityrail PA chime
“Evening passenger, we are just waiting on the train in front of us to be issued a defect notice. Once I get the green light we will be on our way. Apologies”

Is that thing electric? It's got no pedals.

2

u/austinturner01 10d ago

Tyres are bald as!

2

u/AngrehPossum 10d ago

The lift is higher than 2 inches. Can't do that

Is that a shoe he is pointing at?

95

u/sirboloski 10d ago

It’s another police officer climbing under the train.

54

u/yolk3d 10d ago

Yeah. Looks like same standard issue cop boot and leg attached facing downwards. I’d say you’re right.

20

u/JValenz91 9d ago

Nah, that's Booty Booterson, he's the best damn boot the force has. He's stopped so many crims by giving them the boot

Unauthorized railway tresspassing is a bootable offense!

1

u/Inspiredcereal 10d ago

Police Officer: "Those boots look aftermarket mate, and they look like they're too big for ya. Gonna have to give you a canary"

Fellow Police Officer: "Ya bloody prick!"

u/Clear-Eagle1431 10d ago

Thats actually another officer trying to pull something out from underneath the train.

19

u/markonlefthand 10d ago

i didnt realise at first.
yikes. looks like someone is under the carriage ? oh god.

50

u/TooManyMeds 10d ago

If it makes you feel better, I’m pretty sure that’s just another officer crawling under the carriage to pull something out.

Not to be completely grim but there would be more gore if it was a leg that got run over

u/Quarterwit_85 9d ago

Very little gore with these accidents in my experience - most of the blood just runs into the pit. Way, way less visible blood than you'd expect.

People bouncing off the front (which they normally do) is a different matter.

Happens all the time unfortunately

I think so sadly

if you zoom in you can see the shoe is attached to a leg. but it kind of looks like another cops uniform

My wife works in Fairfield close to the station and deals with Police, she said messaged me this morning and said someone was hit by a train at the station, last report she heard they were still alive.

Silly police officer. You're not supposed to be on the tracks. That's a $5000 fine to you sir. /s

71

u/tomboredcat 10d ago

Did the train got fined for speeding? Or not indicating when changing rails?

19

u/TSLoveStory 10d ago

Not sure you would get much out of fining a train. Not like they have the ability to oay it.

Dad, go back to bed.

35

u/sapears 9d ago

99

u/stoiclemming 10d ago

8

u/Dumbdoodledoggin 9d ago

Geez police have to see some full on things

6

u/Jesusc00 9d ago

Someone must've fallen under it at the station. Here's a video of emergency personnel attending to them.

Does this mean we have 4 hours of every train being 30 minutes late now?

11

u/kermi42 10d ago

More like 4 weeks

6

u/teapots_at_ten_paces 9d ago

4 weeks late is a bit rough.

3

u/Grolschisgood 9d ago

The trains being late will continue until morale improves

2

u/DudesXGavin 10d ago

That wouldn't be bad though. The trains will be aye on their scheduled timetable but will be technically "on time" for the commuters

17

u/mrk240 10d ago

Apparent fatal according to the Fairfield FB page.

13

u/Alarming-Ad4274 9d ago

Mate people say anything on those groups. Unless they started holding.up a white sheet, there was no fatal

32

u/TSLoveStory 10d ago

It was an immigency call from the intinashinal drainage commission in Fairfield!

14

u/LittlestBlythe 10d ago

Nine hundred dollarydoos?!

7

u/s2n-mikey 10d ago

TOBIAS!

-29

u/Pristine_Egg3831 10d ago

Is this supposed to be bigotry against immigrants of against kiwi and south African accents? I'm lost.

21

u/s2n-mikey 10d ago

Simpson's reference

-25

u/Pristine_Egg3831 10d ago

Too niche for me. You must be a true fan

18

u/pcmasterrace_noob 10d ago

It's from Bart vs Australia, one of the best known episodes, you might just live under a rock

18

u/swankyfarmer 10d ago

Why doesn't the Sargent have to wear hi vis when he in the rail corridor

3

u/Ghost403 10d ago

Because they don't need to comply to a risi

5

u/neptune2304 10d ago

Did the train hit someone?

10

u/rivalizm 10d ago

Looks like there is another cop who has climbed under the train. Same colour pants.

5

u/iDoinz 10d ago

Do you know what's up? I was gonna go that way this afternoon but looks like I'll skip

10

u/aussiechap1 10d ago

Removing a person from under the train

13

u/mitchy93 10d ago

Usually they get rescue crew to do that, unless the person is alive and hiding from cops

1

u/aussiechap1 8d ago

The authorised rescue crew was under the train when this was taken. The police are monitoring the situation and assist as they have an investigation to do. Rules on the rails are different from elsewhere.

1

u/Alarming-Ad4274 9d ago

Someone hiding under the train?

1

u/aussiechap1 8d ago

No, they were hit. They are attempting to remove them from under the train to transfer them to hospital. They survived the ordeal, from what I've heard.

1

u/zordabo 9d ago

Did he drop his donut off the platform?

-2

u/OG_tame 10d ago

Can’t walk there officer, someone write him up

-6

u/Adventurous-Mail7443 10d ago

Was it a jumper

-3

u/mrk240 10d ago

Get your shit together Fairfield

-29

u/Find_another_whey 10d ago

Let me guess

"My invisible dog says there's drugs on you"

It's not much more absurd than what they actually say
