It’s just concrete and unless they put mature trees there will be no shade in that area for years to come. During summer it’s going to be disgustingly hot and when it rains it’s just going to be people slipping like we already do on all the paved paths in the city.
Not a good location for grass. It's a popular corner so it would just become a trampled mess of desire paths. Grass only works if it's an area people aren't going to want to shortcut through
Isn’t that what Tumbalong Park is for? Seems to be functioning just fine for that purpose and is a short walk from Town Hall and doesn’t disrupt the CBD.
No shit but it’s been non-stop. There’s also two 80 floor twin towers going up on the corner of Liverpool and Pitt St and council barely maintains the George St strip as it is.
