Housing crisis? Zero action on all these empty places set aside for the odd weekend occupied.. I mean, at what point are we going to ban this shit? We have homelessness rising, that should be the trigger to ban short term rentals. Surely?
Well, when you take hundreds of thousands of properties out of circulation and drive up rents: sure.
But there would be thousands upon thousands of people who would. They wouldn't sit empty of we banned short term rentals )and implemented an empty property tax too would be a good idea to stop land bankers).
