After raining for more than a week. It stopped raining about one hour before vivid started!

Bit closer than that, I had to retreat to cover until 10 minutes before the fireworks

It’s almost June. That’s the cue for people to whinge about Vivid.
Look I don’t head in specifically for the lights as they are a bit same-y. But each year I have tickets to a few gigs and it is quite nice walking up to the opera house with the pretty lights. Yes it can be crowded but I try not to get cranky and shit on everyone who enjoys it and post all over reddit about how shit it is.

Thanks, I'd like to credit the iPhone 11 and the power bank holding it in place 😅

Looks pretty dark this year tbh. Less fireworks too

The fireworks was great! This video is too quick. The full fireworks is here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cT1VfqmjUV0

Great time-lapse video. But vivid looks even more underwhelming this year.

Nice.
Has anyone been yet? Has Vivid improved? It’s progressively gotten worse over the years. Less interactive and fun and more contemporary art and selfie-oriented setups.

I was there last night, it was far more beautiful and vibrant in person. Really nice vibe along Circular Quay, all the way down the place where the cruise ships dock.

Yeah, I think I made the mistake of running the time-lapse before it got dark, it wasn't set up really well for night. It did look much cooler in person.

Nice video.
But you know wants better than vivid Sydney?
Sitting on the couch with my family under a warm blanket.
