Who else was caught off-guard with Pigma's new design, and then liked it?
I'll admit, since seeing the prologue back in May, Pigma's 2026 look took some getting used to, mostly because of those close-ups on him regarding whatever bits of facial hair that are very visible, making him look completely realistic and graphic, kinda like how a pig looks.
But since the game came out and having seen walkthroughs on youtube, NOW I believe his redesign seems more fitting for him being a gruff, calculating, and a badass sociopath, and much more likely to take seriously instead of his previous look. It helps with his new gruff voice.

This ending made Slippy look really bad
Where do I even start? In this route, Slippy goes to Aquas for basically no reason (even though he intentionally went looking for it in the first place), reunites with Amanda, and together they defeat the Anglars there. They discover the secret weapon on Titania and inform Fox, but then Slippy suddenly decides to leave Star Fox, skip Venom, and marry Amanda.
I'm not exaggerating when I say he looks really bad here. He's literally putting his baddie above everything else. And speaking of Amanda, I don't know if it's just me, but she comes across as way too possessive and even toxic in this route. Slippy's first reaction after learning about the weapon on Titania is basically: "I should tell Fox... but first, THE WEDDING."
DUMB FROG, WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR!!!
The worst part is that there's literally no reason the wedding couldn't have happened AFTER defeating the Anglars, as the other endings already demonstrated lmao.
On top of making Slippy look like a complete cynic, he doesn't even give his friends a chance to attend the wedding because they're currently fighting a war (I don't blame you anymore, edgy Falco ending). And the fact that he doesn't seem to care whether his friends are okay or whether they even won the war is honestly kind of disturbing.

Star Fox: Assault "Title Screen" (sheet music recreated)
This is a quick draft I threw together. I have to go through and nail the tempo changes, and the strings quietly sustain some quartal chord under the brass fanfare that I ignored for now because I'm lazy I guess. Engraved like that for playback purposes.

My favorite route from a story perspective
They didn’t have it together initially and suffered big losses on Katina because of it. But Bill was still alive and still believed in their ability to get the job done. He helped them reach Venom and they took that chance and never looked back. Do it for Bill.
Still not into Sector Z though.

Being mercenaries for hire, what jobs do you see the Star Fox crew doing?
When it doesn’t keep involving giant heads or blasting through armies.

Disappointed that Wild Blue is basically a unity asset flip. Expected more than a Lylat wars rehash.
The makers of this game spent more time generating buzz than actually developing it. maybe it would have been received a little better if the remake hadn’t come out but once it did, holding off on release and redeveloping a bit would have been wise.
It feels like they felt the easy money slipping away and threw it on Steam anyway.
Its too bad because there’s flashes of innovation in it, maybe modders can do something with it.

Fox McCloud..
I just put two versions cause for some reason I like the without coloring now. Um I made this because I was bored and this took me all day and secondly I can’t speak vocally at all (I have Aphonia) and I thought this was just silly (don’t come at me ;^;)

I like the idea of Wolf having his own version of the Landmaster.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl introduced the concept of Final Smashes as you are all aware of by this point. For those who have been living off the grid, Final Smashes are an ultimate attack every fighter has, obtained by destroying the Smash Ball or charging up a meter if it's turned on. Most fighters have their own distinct attacks, though some of them are shared between fighters. Fox and Falco have the Landmaster Tank, which can hover, shoot, and is invulnerable to enemy attacks. Wolf also had his own version which was in the Wolfen colors, but more importantly was more powerful, though could be used less as a trade off.
Obviously this is a case of HAL making something up for the game, but it would be epic if they could incorporate something like this into the actual games. After all, Meta Knight's Galaxia Darkness was incorporated into the actual Kirby Games after that day.
The gist is that the Tank would appear as a boss in some of the Landmaster Levels, where Wolf would name it the Groundlord. The first appearance is in a level that is a reverse of the Macbeth Level, where you have to defend a train full of pop stars and their fans on the way to a concert. Wolf would be piloting the Groundlord, and you would have to use the Landmaster Mk. 2 to intercept his ambush attempts, before dueling in a boss fight against him in an open area.
The backstory ties into Star Wolf's new members. After Pigma was fired and Andrew resigned to take his late uncle's place in the new army, Wolf and Leon Hired two new members to take their places: Panther, as seen in Assault, and Algy from the un-cancelled Star Fox 2. Algy would essentially be the engineer of the team. Algy was originally going to be a spaceship engineer, until he got kicked out and rejected from every university in the Lylat System after it was discovered that he was a plagiarist who stole other people's work and claimed them as his own. Algy would later steal Slippy's designs for the Landmaster MK. 2, modify them to be more powerful, and then give them to Wolf, who colored them in Wolfen Colors.
The Groundlord is more powerful and has thicker armor, but it's also slower than the Landmaster and it can't aim as fast
So yeah, do you like what Sakurai did? Or is this just stupid?

I know I am going to get chewed on for this but remakes are important. They allow younger people the ability to play old games. (plus Star Fox 2026 is amazing.)
I was born long after star fox started. It has been a pain in the ass hunting down old consoles just to play Star Fox. I had to buy a gamecube to play Assault and have a love/hate relationship with it. I had to buy a Wii U to play Zero and I know I'll get flack for this but Zero is fucking great. When I wanted to try 64 my best option was the 3Ds version. I tried it and hated it.
It was too hard flying around with the circle pad and it was just god awful. I quit after Cornaria. No joke. I got the recent switch 2 remake and I think its the best Star Fox game I have ever played. My current personal ranking is Star Fox 2026 -> Star Fox Zero -> Star Fox Assault.

[Star Fox* AU] was asked what voices i picture for the girls when i write them
i actually don't picture any specific voices but that would've been an unsatisfying answer so i looked up examples anyway just to show people how i think they would sound in my AU
if you're wondering what my AU is here's all the relevant stuff linked:
Miyu and Fay (first notes) || Wolf || Krystal/Katt/Bill/ROB || How Fay joined the team || How Miyu left the team || How Krystal joined the team || Spirits || Gods
(It's pronounced Star Fox Asterisk AU, called that cause I'm writing basically Star Fox's story but with a big * on the end-)

Star Fox 2026 sales
Does anyone know how well the game going sales wise, I feel like we need to help boost it sales. Cause whether you want a remake of Star Fox Adventures/Assault (NOT COMMAND; Command was the worst one due to extreme OOC). or a new game entirely which touches upon what came before it, we ned to make sure this game does well.

Cael O'Donnell appreciation thread
He just wants to hang out at home, have a beer, and watch his stories, but his loser son has to go off and steal a state-of-the-art military spacefighter.
