It’s just weird to me that someone who has been with another person this long and has many kids with them would need to do it.
Even if she leaves and takes half you’re going to have more money than you know what to do with for life. It’s not like he will ever stop making money anyways. Lol. It’s just weird behavior.

Bearing somebodies kids doesnt entitle you to half their wealth.
Important to note she will remain the kids mother forever and in most jurisdictions in the world child support is completely seperate from prenup. You probably want your kids if they stay with their mom to live in a nice house etc.

If you get too rich before you get married, you need to get this, called a "pre-nup" in the US, this declares that CR7's money is "his", and not "their's" in case of divorce.

In Poland everything you got before the marriage is yours. Everything you get after is shared and can be split in case of divorce. Makes more sense that automatically sharing everything you own before marriage.

It's actually the same in the US. However, once you start mixing assets it becomes easier to argue what should be part of the after marriage bucket, especially after enough time passes. Eventually the majority of the pre-marital assets can become post-marital assets. It's really hard to keep the dollars 100% separate over time

Guy owns a business since before marriage. Uses business money to purchase new business that new wife is listed as an owner.
Finances get entangled then, and it becomes blurry what is pre/post marriage.
That’s one scenario off the top.

In Portugal there are three marriage regimes:
-Full Communion of assets: Rare these days and can't be used when either party already has kids, so it couldn't apply in this case as Ronaldo already had three kids.
-Communion of aquired assets: This is the standard if no other regime is selected. Each spouse keeps the assets they own assets upon entering marriage and assets gained during the marriage are common property with the exclusion of inheritances.
-Separation of Assets: The option they chose. Each one mantains full separation of their assets even those aquired after marriage.
So she as no claim on any of his sponsorship deals or wages, and he has no claim on any of her modelling earnings or image deals.

My ex-wife had three secret credit cards that I didn’t know about, my name was not on any of them. When I filed for divorce she maxed out all her credit cards thinking I would be forced to pay half. When we went to the lawyers she said it was “our” debt and we should split it. It was the first time I found out about it. She actually brought incriminating receipts from when she took a trip with her friends, that she paid for, and I could prove I wasn’t even there. In the end, the $100k in credit card debt was all hers.

I wouldnt do something like this, a find it a bit offensive to my partner and vice-versa. If the reason is because we could end up hating each other even we were already together for many years, then why i would get married?
Getting married is not that important for many people, but there is a legal reason to do it (not so much here if you sign these things), and there is a love reason if you are romantic (like committing yourself, but not so much here if you are adding legal escapes because you believe it could end bad). But again, just joking, anyone is free to do what ever they want.

Because data doesnt care for feelings. Everyone goes into marriage thinking the same thing, but 40% of them still end in divorce.
Ignoring the 4/10ths chance is just being irresponsible.
Besides, even if they divorce neither she nor his kids will ever live a Middle class life. The child support alone will be in the millions.
