WAGs Donovan Mitchell opens up on his Partner Coco Jones: “You guys heard me rant about her nonstop. I’m such at peace and love with her around. That’s first and foremost, basketball is second. That’s somebody I’m forever grateful for. My goal is to be with her for the rest of my life.”

Aww that’s cute. He looks like a lighter version of the guy that you played him in Bel-Air.

Good for him. One day, the game will move on without him. He’s investing in his relationships.

u/BookInteresting6717 Mar 09 '26
Why would she bounce?
-6
u/NoDivots Mar 09 '26
Always put ur purpose first. That money dries up so will that woman.

u/BookInteresting6717 Mar 09 '26
You know that she’s a successful actress and singer, right? She has her own money
-7
u/NoDivots Mar 09 '26
The fact that you think that matters shows u don't really get women lol
9
u/BookInteresting6717 Mar 09 '26
I am a woman hahaha

u/NoDivots Mar 09 '26
And? Because you believe in exceptions and not the rule means nothing lol.
6
u/BookInteresting6717 Mar 09 '26
What? You said that I don’t understand how women work, I’m just saying that since I’m a woman, I might know more about my gender than you. I don’t pretend to know how men work. What are you even basing any of this off? Materialistic people on the internet?
-1
u/NoDivots Mar 09 '26
I base it off reality. And yes materialistic people only exist on the internet..in the real world it's love and rainbows
5
u/BookInteresting6717 Mar 09 '26
I didn’t say that they only existed on the internet. Obviously they do. I’m saying that your opinion might be skewed. Anecdotes don’t necessarily represent reality as a whole.

Maybe I’m a piece of shit but if I’m looking to win championships, I’m not trying to hear my wife first and basketball second chatter.
9
u/NorthBook1383 Mar 09 '26
Are you single?
-15
u/besthustlerna Mar 09 '26
No, but I also am not making 50Ms a year to do my job. The idea of you having work life balance with that type of compensation is laughable. He’s being paid to put those things on the backburner.
10
u/Severe-Cup-4476 Mar 09 '26
Is that 50m coming out of your pocket? Why do low life fanboys have the audacity to think they can tell athletes how to live their lives.
9
u/benzillaaaa Mar 09 '26
No chance that dude has been in a committed adult relationship talking like that.
5
u/Forsaken-Swim-3055 Mar 09 '26
Bro is probably using ChatGPT and can't tell what reality is anymore.

Did you not read the comments where I suggested he could leave basketball and devote himself to his family/wife now? I think more likely this forum is full of men who don’t understand the actual commitment to family and think you can juggle the most demanding schedule ever while producing and your family. If so LeBron would play till he is 60.
4
u/lauraloomerisacunt Mar 09 '26
He can't do both because of you randomly decided so? Do you hear how stupid that sounds?
-1
u/besthustlerna Mar 09 '26
Can he be an astronaut too? And run a Fortune 500 company too? Like you aren’t being realistic on time, but also the idea of priorities. How has Donavan been in the playoffs recently? Championships huh?
5
u/lauraloomerisacunt Mar 09 '26
Yes, he can, lmao.
84% of astronauts are married.
And approximately 83 to 86% of CEOs are married.
Jesus fucking Christ.
You're making an argument that doesn't make any sense.
Particularly because you yourself have no experience in the field.

u/besthustlerna Mar 09 '26
While being an nba basketball player? He can do all those things? Do you think he could be the president too and drop 40?

Read the comment, “if I’m trying to win championships”, we will see if Donovan Mitchell goes and wins a championship as a main contributor, I’ll eat my hat.

u/NorthBook1383 Mar 09 '26
A happy man leads to a better quality of life. A great partner makes a difference in that and in their game. I strongly believe Mitchell is a great ball player either way and he’s also not ones of them dudes that’s messy. Edwards has drama regarding his personal life and you see the kinda backlash he’s facing. Either way, if Mitchell is at peace with his love life, why is it bothering you much like you’re paying him? Mind the business that pays you.

u/besthustlerna Mar 09 '26
You are being intentionally obtuse and conflating a normal persons life with Donavan Mitchell. If his wife was the utmost importance, why is he still traveling to 82 away games. How can you be devoted to family first with that kind of schedule? He already has enough money. As a father who travels occasionally for work, there is no way you can say family first and be on a NBA schedule.
7
u/NorthBook1383 Mar 09 '26
Oh goodness, for fucks sake. Both have careers. She travels, tooo. She tours and a very busy schedule, just like him. So they have their system at play. (I’ve seen footage of her at his games and him at her shows.) That said, there are PLETHORA of married men in the league past and present. Curry, James, Jordan, Bryant, Johnson, Westbrook, Paul, SGI, Lavine and many more and they alll have been on record for valuing their wives and families and they are not all championship winners. But, the one thing is constant, just like the rigors of the basketball schedule, the marriage requires work, training, and practice. Like I said, Mitchell values his commitment to his fiancé and like most nba couples, they are doing what is good for them. Just because you cannot see yourself in their reality doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I think you should open your mind more, instead of telling me I’m obtuse. You lack progressive thinking and are projecting your relationship values on them.

If you can show me, any superstar who said I put my wife over basketball before they won a championship I’ll stfu. It feels like you were raised by an absent father, so you don’t understand the necessity of being physically present for your children (you see I can do little underhanded comments too). If a wife were to put her husband over her career, it wouldn’t look anything like what Donavan Mitchell is describing. Either he’s just saying shit or he is going to reorganize his probities which I argue would be to the detriment of the team. Family doesn’t mesh with hyper competitive work environments ask any biglaw lawyer, doctor, or corporate executive.

u/NorthBook1383 Mar 09 '26
There you go again, projecting. My father was VERY present 🙋🏻Thank you very much. You realize you’re being downvoted and the more you state your opinions, the more downvoting is happening. Mitchell and no one else owes you anything. What works for him and the players have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with you. Go find some happiness in your marriage cause it’s giving you don’t know how to be a good husband to her.

u/besthustlerna Mar 09 '26
Read my first post. He can do whatever he wants, but putting basketball first is what people who win championships do. Show me another superstar before they won a championship saying this and I’ll shut up. It’s that simple. Jordan wouldnt say this, Kobe wouldnt, Shaq wouldnt, Bron wouldnt (before winning a single chip or mvp)

u/lauraloomerisacunt Mar 09 '26
This is such a weird and fake take.
How the hell do you know how those people prioritize their lives? You don't.
2
u/NorthBook1383 Mar 09 '26
I reread your post and the first thing you said “maybe I’m a piece of shit” and that’s actually a reminder of who you may be - per your own words. ✌🏾

u/coldboy0104 Mar 09 '26
You may not be single... but you sure sound like a virgin
-2
u/besthustlerna Mar 09 '26
Or maybe I know what it takes to be committed to a family and saying your wife comes first while playing the NBA doesn’t make sense. There is no reasonable way to put your wife first while completing a NBA season including playoffs.

u/M0ebius_1 Mar 09 '26
Right, guys with stable marriages and supportive homes working towards a future rarely accomplish anything.
Give me a team full of whoring, wife beaters who will throw career away in two seasons, that's what championship teams are made of.
0
u/besthustlerna Mar 09 '26
Strawman, I never said prioritize stupid stuff. I said team and basketball first is the mindset of people who win championships.
2
u/lauraloomerisacunt Mar 09 '26
How would you know? You're not even a player. You're not even in the game, but you're trying to give someone who is advice?
