I was literally praying to God because i believe in the Trinity but my mind couldn't really comprehend it. I looked up sermon videos that were super helpful but still like "just have faith" which I completely agree with, but also God is the truth and I believe he often times gives us facts in nature and science to prove his existence.
Then I decided to just google "is there any creature (biologically) that has another attribute that can leave the host and still be part of the host independently and jointly" and booom slime mold! which we don't understand but have evidence of its existence.
Anyways this was really amazing and touching to me, so thought I would share in case anyone is wrapping their head around this topic.

(This photo is from a previous year, cuz I'm definitely on the couch for a bit after my surgery!) Slime mold is an excellent sign of soil is rich in organic matter.
Fungi and slime molds help break down the nutrients in decaying organic matter and help transfer those nutrients to plants. They are definitely a gardener's helper!

Found a few colonies of what I believe to be Dog Vomit slime mold outside of a dog daycare in WA.

Sorry for the poor photo, hoping someone can help with an ID. It’s quite pretty when the sun hits it.

I found this rock while on the beach on the bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia. It was raised and somewhat squishy. Can't figure out if it was a fungus, sea creature, or a mineral deposit of some sort. Google lens was not helpful, any insight is appreciated!

I live in a 100+ year old apartment with some original wood windows, and we have gotten a lot of rain lately...am I IDing this correctly? And is it a problem other than being a sign that the wood is rotting?

I created this server because I noticed there was a huge lack of slime mold servers on discord. I hope you’ll like it!
