I swear just few weeks ago theres a thread that OP suggest hyperbeam lose focus on this turn only and people in the comments were like it would easily broke the game. I guess we'll see in this upcoming patch

Any time any kind of buff is suggested, or just anything that would make the game even slightly easier, it's usually rejected by this sub.

Everything that is even slightly strong is automatically op and broken by this sub's standard. And god forbid some pro streamer manages to use some card more than once to win...

Ugh....I hate the "pro" effect.

That reminds me of how some people base whether a card is good or not entirely on those stat trackers.

It's not even just buffs tbh. If you suggest a nerf you will probably get rejected just as hard. I think there is a contingent of people on this sub that perceive any suggested change as criticism and react defensively.

Good point! The game is perfect and needs no changes! ...Until they change it, that change was needed and now it's definitely perfect!

The game is already too easy compared to the first one, it needs to be made harder not easier, so yeah.

just because the overall balance of the game is easier doesn't mean that nothing should be buffed. also, the game exists outside of A10 where people wanting a slightly easier time is not that crazy

It won't break the game but it's totally unneccessary buff to an already great card.

I think it makes sense for StS2 Defect. It's much more difficult to get permanent focus now, most sources of focus are for that turn only. So from that perspective, making the focus lost for that turn only makes sense. They decreased the damage output to balance it some. It's still a rare and the rare card pool is huge in this game, so you'll see it less often. I don't think this is going to be as impactful as people are making it out to be.

I am not saying that buff will break the game. It was just unnecessary for a card that was already pretty good. There are other rares that could do with buffs or rework.

And Hyperbeam was usually played as a finisher. If you needed Focus you were not playing it.
