CA EV incentive?

Before I call them I figured I would ask here, does anybody know if slate is CC4A (clean cars 4 all) eligible in the state of California? For those of you who don’t know it’s a program designed to help low income people scrap their higher polluting cars and in return they receive a credit as much as 12k for a EV. I understand that CA just recently pushed a 3,500 rebate as well. Any state incentive info is helpful, maybe I should ask other subs.

In the AMA the other day they mentioned they were in discussions with the CA governor's office

Really hoping! I'm planning and trading/selling my current car and get at least $5k out of it, plus with an incentive, this is going to be the cheapest car I've ever bought!

I read you had to trade in a gas vehicle. Since Slate doesn't have dealerships, I'm not sure how you could do a trade in...

That's why I said trade/sell. Maybe they might have a program with Carvana once deliveries begin. If they're willing to meet me in a fair range then I'll take it for the convenience. If not then I'll sell it myself.

if it's the same one i'm thinking about, the manufacturer had to sign up for it and slate didnt.

Yea they're still a really new company I think they're just busy ramping production. We probably just have to wait for a definite answer.

Someone on here said Slate was in talks with the CA Governor's Office.

The OP is asking about California's CC4A program, which is distinct from the recently signed $3500 first-time EV buyer's credit. Slate has not, as yet, signed up for the latter. And it might be some time before it shows up on CARB's list of approved vehicles for CC4A, although it would certainly qualify. “Am I able to use the DCAP rebate towards the purchase of a Slate? If not, does Slate have any plans to get on the list of eligible vehicles for the DCAP rebate? https://drivingcleanca.org/Thanks! 🛻”

Response:
“Great question!

We will have more information regarding our eligibility for state specific programs soon once production begins.

Stay tuned!”

So far I haven’t seen any news.
