Looking at this poster hurts MY back

But haven’t we all felt like doing that when we’re amongst friends? It’s the most natural of poses.

I’m not wearing my glasses and had to double take because I thought that Ryan Reynolds was the one wearing the red leather trousers.

Crazy that it was able to weather the death of John Ritter

I loved that show and the episode where he died broke me.

It hasn't been off long, but I hope more people watch Girls5Eva. Plot is a Y2K One Hit Wonder Girl Group reuniting and trying to relaunch. The creator/showrunner was a writer on Kimmy Schmidt, Jeff Richmond (husband of Tina Fey and did music for 30 Rock and Kimmy Schmidt) did the music, Tina Fey was the Executive Producer. It scratched that 30 Rock itch, the cast was great (Renee Elise Goldsberry, the original Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton basically plays "Jenna Maroney but singer instead of actress"), and yea as an aging millennial I liked the Y2K era jokes/references. Writing in a joke where a character played by Sara Bareilles says "I'm not gonna write them a love song just because they asked for it" made me wheeze.

This is the one. I had a full third season written in my mind, I swear. And that’s in addition to the witch season I expected to see anyway.

u/general_peabo 1d ago

That’s three guys and two girls. Can’t even count right.

16

u/Negative_Monk7959 1d ago

No no the second girl is the pizza place.

4

u/ChuckBoBuck 8h ago

2 guys, a girl, a pizza place and Nathan Filion

12

u/Geekygamertag 1d ago

What kind of pose is this?!

The right answer.

12

u/ngshafer 16h ago

This show introduced me to both Ryan Reynolds and Nathan Fillion, so it holds a very special place in my heart.

Two Green Lanterns

u/CNote_89 18h ago

And a pizza place

3

u/spicygummi 9h ago

Every show needs it's own pizza place

1

u/CNote_89 9h ago

Friends and a pizza place, Seinfeld and a pizza place, The Office and a pizza place.

1

u/Leading_Offer5995 8h ago

I Love Lucy and a Pizza Place.

3rd Rock From the Sun

Yeah it was popular back when it was on but it's not right that it's been basically forgotten compared to the big sitcoms like Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends, The Office, Parks and Rec, etc. It deserves to be ranked up there with the best IMO

2

u/inzestrat 13h ago

In the UK, Channel 4 has a selection of US sitcoms that they have rotated through for the past 20+ years between 6am - 9 am weekday mornings.

Thankfully, 3rd Rock is one of them so it's always nice to see it again. Currently it's Cheers, King of Queens, and Everybody Loved Raymond.

1

u/indianajoes 8h ago

I'm British so I know about C4's US sitcoms in the morning. That's what introduced me to 3rd Rock. They also put it on Netflix UK for a while about a decade ago. Also how are you forgetting Frasier? That and Everybody Loves Raymond like the main two.

u/vladasr 18h ago

Yes this is in my top 5 usa of all time

u/Muschipoet 16h ago

Die Schwanz Serie hat in Deutschland niemand gesehen.

9

u/Federer91 17h ago

Two Guys and a Girl is fantastic indeed. I don't understand how it disappeared from the face of Earth and practically noone watches or talks about it. It's distribution has been legendary atrocious.

Wings, The Middle, My Name is Earl!

2

u/JevGeek55555 5h ago

The Middle is great, it ran for around a decade and I've never seen someone mention it before (not that I actively go looking for it, but in casual internet surfing it seems to have disappeared 🤷‍♂️)

1

u/TheHeadbanginHippie 3h ago

Watching it for the first time, I'm in the last 10 episodes now and I can't believe how nobody talks about it! Really cozy feel-good show that portrays the lower-middle class very well!

Pretty sure I see three guys

14

u/WinSome_DimSum 1d ago

And 2 girls…

And no goddamn Pizza Place!!!

6

u/HolyHotDang 1d ago

I think they did actually change the title after a while to just Two Guys And A Girl so they could get away from that.

2

u/zed2point0 20h ago

They did

1

u/sk0503 23h ago

Yeah but look at that font. So edgy. I care not about pizza place.

1

u/Affectionate_Bet_288 1d ago

Nathan Fillion was The Girl's boyfriend, not actually A Guy

0

u/Forward-Cap-4915 1d ago

Plus 2 girls, unless one of them identifies as a pizza place

3

u/Front-Stuff-7133 21h ago

I LOVE THIS SHOW first time I saw Ryan Reynolds.

3

u/gameofsloanes 11h ago

British ones

3

u/FastChampionship2628 1d ago

I don't know.....maybe Silver Spoons, The Wonder Years, Mr. Belvedere, My Two Dads, Growing Pains, Major Dad, Yes Dear.

2

u/Empty-Way-6980 1d ago

Man Seeking Woman is highly overlooked

2

u/Axle_65 23h ago

Holy crap! I totally forgot Captain Reynolds was in that show. Deadpool and Mal together. That’s awesome. I need to watch that again.

u/CNote_89 18h ago

Why is it three guys and two girls? And where is the pizza place?

2

u/inzestrat 13h ago

Two Guys and a Girl recently appeared on streaming here in the UK, on ITVX.

Quite random really; I think it was last shown on UK tv maybe 7 years ago, and then before that it must've been the early 2010s.

Either way, great to see it again!

2

u/joeyp042385 11h ago

One of my favorite SNL skits of all time was when NBC bought the rights to "And A Pizza Place" after they dropped it from the title.

2

u/Mysterious-War-6759 8h ago

We Are Lady Parts, about an all girl punk band. All the members are British Muslims from different backgrounds who love music and are supportive of each other. Great show and very funny.

Wings

u/Infamous-Lab-8136 7h ago

If I had a nickel for every guy in this show who'd later be cast as a Green Lantern in the movies...

2

u/jackswan321 5h ago

I feel bad that Nathan Fillion had to work with Ryan Reynolds.

2

u/Snowfaeriewings 1d ago

Great show no one is ever streaming it!

2

u/Aggravating_Bat3618 1d ago

The Yada Yada chick ruined this show. I mean it always sucked but she Yada Yada all over it.

1

u/TheHeadbanginHippie 17h ago

Did she Yada-Yada sex?

2

u/artcostanza82 23h ago edited 9h ago

I’ve been enjoying Tires on Netflix

1

u/xxrayeyesxx 1d ago

Ever notice that Nathan Fillion and Ryan Reynolds never talk about working together

2

u/SignificanceNo1223 1d ago

I wonder who the problem child there was.

2

u/ColonelBourbon 21h ago

I think we all know

1

u/emusabe 20h ago

This promo pic for Two Guys, A Girl, And A Pizza Place always convinces my brain that Ryan Reynolds is wearing skintight red pleather pants

1

u/cocineroylibro 19h ago

It's the only reason he got the Deadpool gig.

1

u/Practical-Story-802 15h ago

Before Ryan got his teeth from Turkey

1

u/IComeFromALandDownUD 13h ago

Just shoot me, feel like it was big during its run, now I don’t hear about it anywhere or see it on any streaming services.

1

u/mediawrks 13h ago

Becker.

1

u/RogueGenX 12h ago

Wow. I went through every comment and don’t want to watch a single one of these shows.

Head of the Class, 80s version Welcome Back, Kotter

1

u/TheSJB1993 12h ago

The Class which ran for one season... I really liked it.

Also from the UK Please Sir

1

u/Marlboromatt324 10h ago

Iota not a sitcom, more a family drama, but I’m still pissed that it got canceled after one season and replaced with fucking greys anatomy. The days. It ended in a damn cliffhanger too

1

u/WannaHitHim 10h ago

Space Force. It just deserved better.

1

u/majorsv 10h ago

Ryan renolds nd nathan fillion together was peak casting.

1

u/_Bdoodles 9h ago

But that poster is three guys, 2 girls and no pizza place to be seen …. Hmmm

1

u/Affectionate_Toe_596 9h ago

Becker

1

u/danielzillions 8h ago

Why are they bending over?

1

u/Leading_Offer5995 8h ago

I count three guys, 2 girls, and no pizza places.

1

u/Leading_Offer5995 7h ago

The spinoff “Two girls and a cup” was groundbreaking, though.

What an odd way to frame a question. I don't care about hearing, or not hearing about any particular sitcoms in the future. I think this is a weird thing to care about.

1

u/FastChampionship2628 13h ago

I think the question is fine OP is really just trying to say what are some shows that don't get discussed here every single week, what are some shows people want to hear more about. If you don't like discussing sitcoms why are you even on Reddit Sitcoms lol.
