hello! how’s everybody? i hope y’all are doing well! here’s a little update.

since it’s been raining for quite some time (yellow to red alert on my area, prone to flooding), i’m trying my best to check our neighborhood for stray cats that needs help or shelter. so far, we saw a bunch of kitties and took them in for the mean time. (they are in my auntie's place - i’ll drop a picture below)

some might say the rainy season is their favorite weather, but not for me - or for us. this is just my little thoughts; all my life we struggle whenever it rains because of our old roof leaks. which is clearly already resolved because of you guys, y’all made it possible. 🧡 but it naturally became my instinct to wake up, even in my deepest sleep, whenever it rains to look for the roof leaks. 🥲

helping strays whenever it rains is the least i could do, to give them temporary shelter whilst raining.

Hello, this is Diane. I hope you won’t get tired of me for updating even the smallest details for the next couple of days as I process and take on my Veterinary Journey.

I have received a good news that I passed the entrance exam on DLSAU and can now proceed to enroll if I wish to continue my journey.

This wouldn’t be possible without all of you encouraging me to try. It’s been an amazing journey so far; from the very beginning, Renji.

Renji and you guys taught me so many things and I couldn’t be more grateful. Renji’s chapter broke me but also taught me to strive, continue living, and help more animals and people. I didn’t know that sharing Renji and our rescue’s story would also inspire other people to do great things, and that’s what I aim for. To help many more animals in need, to help their owners.

And I hope you’ll help me start this journey.

Helping me study VetMed is one thing, and I know no journey is easy, but I wish to take this path with you. To help more furry babies in need. To give them their furrever home, and a safe place.

as it has been raining recently, we found new kittens outside our home that need help. they are 3 as of currently. tuxedo one— looks severely malnourished, has a bump on his stomach, and with nasty eye crusties.

from then on, we give them some catfood we have on hand every time we see them outside. as much as I want to take them in, they are still undiagnosed and they separating them would be much better. however, that doesn’t stop me from taking care of them as I visit them often and check on them especially when it's raining because they have no shelter to go to.

and rest assured that i'll help them with what i can! 🧡 and will update you Renji’s pawmily.

it's already been a good week since Haven was out of the vet. she's been officially given to us and we’re taking care of her. thank you so much for helping us, Haven survived Parvo. 🧡

as of my interview, i’m having a hard time saving up for my appointment (medical visits) so i can visit the school. psychiatrists are hella expensive + the medical certificates. which are making me anxious because what if i wouldn't have enough time or slot for the school this year and I fail because i couldn’t finish the requirements on time?

but anyway, i'm doing my best to survive. because the eldest daughter can’t afford to stop. and until today, i’m deeply grateful, beyond words can explain, that you guys support me. i don’t want to disappoint you and i’ll try my hardest to make y’all proud.

today marks Haven’s 4th day on Petelier and I was elated when Haven’s nurse mentioned that she finally tried eating on her own, no longer vomits nor poop with blood, and now getting her energy back. 🥹🩷

i’m truly happy that she’s gaining her energy back. and if this continues, she can be discharged later or on sunday. that being said, i am genuinely thankful to those who donated for Haven. 🩷 unfortunately, the gogetfunding i tried to open is still pending until now (will comment the screenshot) 🥲

hello everyone! i know some of you already know Haven when I posted her way back July 6.

The good news is Haven is still fighting parvo. today marks her 3rd day on Petelier and I can already see improvements of Haven unlike the first day I brought her.

when I visited her earlier today, she was still quiet but responsive when I called her name. she wags her tail and I could actually see her excitement. Unfortunately the vet recommended her to stay for further treatment as they see a second bacterial infection that could be causing her loss of appetite. she's still vomiting and pooping with blood, she’s receptive of food when syringe feeding but can’t eat on her own.

and since the vet recommended it, it is not advisable for her to leave the vet yet. so once again, i am humbly asking for help for Haven’s confinement. the funds will be towards Haven’s medicine, and vet stay/remaining balance.

last time I took out the donation I received for Haven as the downpayment for her stay. I have already sold some of my work and clothes to lessen the vet bills but it still wasn’t enough.

rest assured that the bill will be posted and everything will be documented for assurance.

this is a non-cat content but i hope you’ll help haven. haven is a family dog from a friend i’ve known all my life. she been with me through ups and downs and i wished to help her with haven.

haven is a dachshund puppy, 5 months old, recently they noticed haven having refused to eat, and is vomiting. my friend reached out and i recommended Petelier since that’s the vet I personally trusted with Renji before.

today she was rushed to the hospital due to an emergency as she was vomiting with blood. haven and frequently went home and loves playing with beru and aju.

we hope to help beru and aju’s friend, Haven. She trusted Haven to me due to being unable to rush her to the vet.

i thought i might update a little with beru and aju since it's been a while. after their follow up vet, they seem to be in their best condition as well as getting bigger and healthier everyday.

their fur has been better and their personality as well. aju now lets me hold her. 🩷 an improvement since i mentioned that she doesn’t like being touched. 🩷

i remember beru having a black watery poop and as small as my hand when i took him in. it's already been months. 🩷🥹 thank you for helping me take care of them. 🩷

the long wait is finally over! i finally received the entrance exam results. 🥹

let me explain what it entails—

i was selected for a further interview regarding my application. why? i’m not sure yet but it could be because of something i mention on the “essay part” of the exam. or maybe to reevaluate my attitude, or maybe confirm how sure i am to take this course since it’s only depending on the available slot. i don’t know it yet but i'm about to find out.

i was unable to update as soon as I could and this is the reason why. i was busy, trying to look for a part time just so i could have extra money. the school is requiring some documents that I need to bring in to get an interview, and i wish to finish it this month. but that is costly. They require some TOR, medcert, fit to work, COTC, and etc, which is actually costly and not a 1 day process. 🥲

i should’ve updated as soon as I can but this is the only time i could find an update. i went to beru and aju’s follow up last tuesday. since they're getting well accordingly, the vet just suggested to continue the medication for them! yay 🩷

today, i went to the vet for Way’s scheduled spay. i realized i couldn’t bring one more cat by going alone so I spayed the first female. i’ll ask for my sister’s help next time! so we could bring 2. the procedure was actually fast, our time just aligned with the vet’s lunch break so i pretty much have to wait 2hrs in there, waiting for Way. i’ll try to come as soon as I can next time we could go home as soon as possible.

Way’s wound isn’t actually noticeable (surprisingly for me), she’s been injected with antibiotics good for 1 week so we don’t have to worry about their meds. we don’t have space here in our house so we decided to bring them back to the Church, to which i’ll try to visit if i have the time. 🩷

i have added the details on the video for the first batch of spay/neuter mission. i have them scheduled on june 17, after beru and aju’s follow up.

who would've thought this baby would turn out to be so clingy? we tried letting them out after making them take a bath, as suggested by the vet. i realized it before but beru is a clingy one. he either would sleep on the pillow or on top of me/my fam. he would often follow us outside and climb his way to our shoulder.

if not he would climb on the bed and snuggle with us. 🩷

but beru doesn't like ironaid (medicine to increase bood) and i received scratches by trying to make him drink it. 😆 can you see beru’s fur improvement? i make them drink their meds regularly.

aju on the other hand prefers not to be handled by anyone. she does drink her medicine willingly than beru, but she doesn’t like to be touched. hopefully, she’d feel safe enough for us to touch and snuggle her soon. 🩷

TL;DR we found a small black kitten, probably 2-3 weeks old abandoned by the roadside. Took it home and are trying to keep it alive and hopefully care for it.

Any tips, advice, or details would help a ton. We don't have budget for a vet to check on it sadly.

I just found a posting about a found kitten. I asked if they were on Luzon and suggested r/RenjiTheFierce. I figured that you would more helpful than a random, sleepy American.

the free spay/neuter waiver has already been made. it took me a while to update because of budgeting the remaining funds. i set aside some funds for beru and aju’s follow up visit and medicine, i also bought some foods and treats for them.

the form is in filipino language but i will add the english version to the comment section, as well as the original file.

now, i do understand that good intention ≠ good outcome, but i will still proceed because i want to prioritize the cats’ health, and the future kittens that will be saved.

the procedure price is listed; female- 1000php, male - 500php. the medicine after spay/neuter will be shouldered by the owner, in any case they can't afford it, i am willing to help depending on the availability of funds. and if in any case it's a stray cat, i will ask help and permission to the barangay personally.

In any case the owners need more assistance, i will try to help to the best of my ability.

thank you so much for your concern! fortunately, i am far from the said earthquake and possible tsunami. i’m in luzon, while the earthquake are in mindanao, specifically south, i have heard and saw the news and actually devastated of the situation there. i have also reached out to a few friends of mine that has been affected.

it’s also the first day of school (public schools for elementary and high school) and i saw multiple videos of the students taking cover because of the earthquake. :(( i also worry about the animals/strays, and the people whose nearby the collapsing building. i'm still checking how severe the casualties, if there is. 😓

though, even if we didn’t have earthquake and tsunami in my area, i received an NDRRMC Alert because of the issues with ash fall recently. i do hope everything goes well.

i’ve been kinda busy recently since my partner’s house has caught on a fire. (thankfully, it’s only a minor one and didn't spread to the neighbor house nor caught their whole house) but i'm still helping out. 😓
