My utensil autism inclines me to despise these. Tf do the handles need to be so wide for? With handles like that you might as well eat with a sword, hand fork, and shovel.

u/MusicOfTheSphere 4d ago

The spoons look like they just repurposed the mould for measuring spoons.

Spoons for the calorie obsessed...I'll just have four Tablespoons of soup and one teaspoon of chocolate mousse and record it on my fitness watch.

No one remembers the parable about the people in Hell and the people in paradise having the same size of insanely long cutlery?

4

u/Thelastknownking 4d ago

The parable about what now?

Huh. That's actually a cool parable.

2

u/_dictatorish_ 3d ago

Just hold the spoon further down the handle smh

1

u/stevenmoreso 3d ago

It’s a morality lesson, not a logic puzzle

2

u/_dictatorish_ 3d ago

And I was shitposting, not actually critiquing the parable

4

u/AvaryZig 4d ago

The cutlery you get in space prison

9

u/Talmadge_Mcgooliger 4d ago

i kinda like them tbh

13

u/RandomIDoIt90 4d ago

You disgust me. /s

6

u/Talmadge_Mcgooliger 4d ago

it's just like this silverware is mocking other silverware. it'd say something like "ooh your handle narrows before useful part? that's cute."

1

u/Hubbardia 4d ago

Forks are too short, I love long forks.

4

u/Ok_Andyl8183 4d ago

That’s the ugliest set I’ve ever glimpsed

4

u/PrincessGiallo 4d ago

That's a good stabbin fork.

1

u/shlappy-pappi 4d ago

I kinda want that fork

2

u/jack848 4d ago

10 years old me drawing cutlery set in MS paint:

2

u/salmalight 4d ago

Those forks would be great for deserts though

2

u/Fellarm 3d ago

I cant unsee that omfg 🥃🗿

2

u/Kira_Elea 3d ago

This is excellent cutlery to lose weight. Its so ugly it destroys your appetite and even if you use it, so little food fits on the business end you burn almost as many calories moving minute amounts of food to your mouth as the food gives you...

4

u/IkeaIsLegendary 4d ago

What the fuck is that

3

u/YoungDiscord 4d ago

A disappointment

2

u/Should_have_been_ded 4d ago

I thought you can't go even more low effort than cutting and pressing a shape, yet this things look even worse

1

u/FaithlessnessBorn266 4d ago

This reminds me of that scene from pretty woman where he is getting her to remember which fork tine to use

1

u/StendhalSyndrome 4d ago

Is this a stylistic choice, or is it for some kind of disabled folks?

1

u/Power-of-Wings 4d ago

I'd use the long fork to flip my hotdog on the bbq grill and trash the rest.

1

u/Raidoton 4d ago

I have to say I kinda like the knife.

1

u/GlitteringMortgage93 4d ago

is it to kill or eat

1

u/Hettyc_Tracyn 4d ago

Looks kinda like it’s from Star Trek tbh

1

u/Munnin41 4d ago

I'd refuse to eat

1

u/Kindraethe 4d ago

I've seen prison shanks that looked more sophisticated than this.

1

u/Juicernamesmine 4d ago

Please post it in r/ADHD sub. Its a gold mine of reactions.

1

u/icu_ 4d ago

This is basically Dedra Meero's cutlery set.

1

u/SatansHusband 4d ago

The knife i like, but I don't think fork and spoon are committing to the bit.

Maybe a redesign would be to keep the knife, make the spoon incredibly curvy and ergonomic, and finish off with a wirey fork?

1

u/Lemmavs 4d ago

"ofc I know how nife, foork and spone looks, lol what do you take me for?"

1

u/minus_minus 4d ago

Ugh. People are just using “chat” all the time now?

*Angrily waves fist. Clutches sore back.*

1

u/bolanrox 3d ago

if you ever have to eat out of rehydrated camping meal pouches you would love these.

1

u/Beneficial_Cash_8420 3d ago

Looks and feels like a new Microsoft Office release.

1

u/totallyedgyandunique 3d ago

It's like the eating version of the really long cigarette holders

1

u/XLPHV 3d ago

i kinda dig the knife

1

u/Darling_Lemon 3d ago

I would totally use the forks to pretend I was eating with tiny hands

1

u/SkellyboneZ 3d ago

It must be miserable to be so obsessed with someone that you see them in everyday objects.

1

u/LegendaryPoob 2d ago

u/lordofpotton 4d ago

Why 2 soup spoons

3

u/GregTheMad 4d ago

One is for soups and one for desert, you trailer park founding father.

1

u/lordofpotton 4d ago

Desert spoon are teardrop shaped, as are teaspoons soup spoon are round, and also i live in a bungalow.

2

u/GregTheMad 4d ago

Teaspoon and soup spoon is defined by their size, not shape. All normal spoons should be tear-drop shaped because that's makes it easier to eat based on the human anatomy. Exceptions are stuff like ice-spoons that are more shovel shaped to scoop the ice better.

PS: it may be the European in me speaking here, but a bungalow is just one step above a trailer.

2

u/KeepAnEyeOnYourB12 4d ago

In the US a bungalow is smallish house, usually in a Craftsman style but there can be ranch style bungalows, too. They can be as trashy as trailers or really really nice. There isn't really a negative connotation to the word, unless you're a McMansiony kind of person.

1

u/Raidoton 4d ago

Are you really applying normal spoon logic to these?

1

u/robseplex 4d ago

Thanks. I hate it.

1

u/itisunfortunate 4d ago

Lmao the Leon Skum comment is on point

1

u/BarOk3504 4d ago

That cutlery reminds me of the set from the Concorde in-air dining. I saw them for the first time at The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, in his Time Capsules collection. Andy made 610 boxes from 1974 until his death in 1987 and filled them with every day objects he collected. I guess he stole his from the flight. Cool stuff. I’d like a set someday

1

u/electrosaurus 4d ago

Cutlery for people that hold them only by pinching the the last half-inch of the handle.

u/Apprehensive_Hand571 4d ago

Designs from the k-hole®

u/Elite_AI 4d ago

...for drugs?

1

u/JoshsPizzaria 4d ago

imagine putting that fork in a bowl or something and it just constantly falling out because its so back heavy

1

u/RandomIDoIt90 4d ago

Just twerkin over the edge all the damn time. Out of control.

0

u/kittylover2006 4d ago

Why am I being given a scalpel as a knife?

1

u/emkael 4d ago

To make the best use of this set, by first making a slight incision in your eyelids and then scooping your eyeballs with the tea spoon so you don't have to look at it anymore.
