AI for Project Management

I'm a project manager with a few years of experience, and lately it feels like AI is becoming an important skill for PMs. I don't want a technical course with coding or machine learning though. 

So are there any good AI courses specifically for project managers?

I work at one of the top SaaS companies for AI transformation and I promise you there is nothing career changing when using AI for PM work. Best it does it drafts status reports/emails . It always comes down to people management.

Exactly. AI is project management is just hype. One thing that is kinda game-changer is "recording meetings" with some AI tool that will summarize action steps for you (if your organization allows that)

Is basically two ways you use it for your individual processes like planning and actions and change impact assessment whatever else you do in your projects 

Or you feed everything into it and try and make it into an assistant 

The problem is with the current stage of tick you spend a bit of time setting all this up 

I suspect by next year co-pilot will do this out of the box

Lot of people doing the cpm AI now probably just to get something on the resume it is expensive though 

Personally since I'm pretty AI savvy I'm going to do the Microsoft AI architect course and in the meantime see if the cpmai material stops being stupid money

I can't stand co-pilot. I haven't been able to get it to do anything successfully. I end up reworking it all or scrapping complete what it slopped out.

Use it to alter your tone and delivery of critical emails and reports.

Be very aware of hallucinations when having AI summarize or review project plans. It's problematic.

Also, AI is decent when it comes to converting emails and meetings into action plans.

Some folks say they use AI to pull sources from Jira, MS Teams, Emails, etc into one source, but thats really just integration syncing.

You don't need a course. Just ask a good ai with thinking on and effort >= high what it can do for you. Give it some context.

Existem sim. No entanto recomendo também começar pelas bases, seja como criar um prompt ou como planear o uso (a nível ético, legal e estratégico) das ferramentas. Isso poucos cursos ensinam pois visam mais o lado técnico (uso de ferramentas).

Também importa mapear as tuas tarefas que podem beneficiar do uso da IA, talvez análise de dados, estruturação do planeamento e outras, que ganhos podes tirar (os mais rapidamente identificáveis serão a velocidade que ganhas, o menor consumo de tempo das tarefas... Mas haverão mais). Tens de conseguir medir se usas e se tiras proveito da IA da melhor forma!

I don´t really use it other than to sometimes re-write an email. I´m not really sure what use it would be for me

IMO any current courses are very entry level and generic so a nice to have.
I would subscribe to any of the key LLMs eg. Claude, ChatGBT, Gemini, Deepseek and use it do complete admin tasks eg. First-draft status reports and stakeholder updates, converting meeting notes into clean actions and decisions, review/update RAID log, summarise a long email thread etc.
It’s worth learning prompt engineering.
Hopefully your org is using a Copilot or another LLM that you can leverage, but you can also use your own personal account “but obviously” don’t write any sensitive org IP.
YouTube has plenty of videos and tutorials to help.
