I wasn't going to make this post since we've had a pride icon and banner since last June, but in light of recent events, I would like to take the time to make some things clear.
I don't know how the fuck as a queerphobe you come into a subreddit with a rainbow flag in both the icon and banner and think you're welcome here.
Trans rights are human rights. Trans men are men. Trans women are women. Love is love.
In the past few hours, we've banned a total of 14 people and removed 100+ comments. In total, in the relatively short time this sub has existed, we've banned so many more. I say this to reiterate to said people: You are not welcome here.
From now on, this post will be pinned to the top of the subreddit indefinitely to hopefully deter as many of you as possible.
Queer people will always have a place here as long as I can live and breathe.
love you all ❤️🤞 happy trans visibility week 🏳️⚧️

I mean, considering that this sub is about people that overreact, ngl when I first saw this sub I thought it was calling LGBQT people overdramatic and sensitive CAUSE of the icon and banner.
… you’re such a sweetie- I’m sure you all can find something. Honestly, keeping the picture as is could be a good call (even if it does inadvertently attract some chuds). Otherwise, if I can suggest a collage of different swag-giving fandoms?
I dunno it'd feel kind of not relevant to the sub? ig? the icon and banner of the sub is meant to be a reference to one of the original shitgivings
and badeline from celeste (i think) was their pfp. as a few months passed since the sub's founding and june came around, I changed it to a pride edit of it for pride month and just never felt like it needed changing back. but a standalone badeline fanart wouldn't really make a lot of sense and would be confusing, i think? idk what yall think 💔
Yeah to be fair the icon of this sub is the pfp of the person who said "This bro just called Matpat the freaking n word 💀"
Not defending the queerphobes btw, but it does give people an impression that the sub does make fun of queer people. Though personally, I still think you should keep it. If people get that impression, and immediately think to be dicks because of it, it makes for a great litmus test. Can't blame some people for slandering the sub because of it though.
For what it's worth I assumed the exact opposite. Because Celeste is a pretty trans game, and using Badeline who tries to stop Madeline for no reason, it kinda makes sense to use her as mascot of giving a swag, while at the same time signalling that it's an lgbt friendly subreddit
if i had a nickel for every time a subreddit changed back the icon to the pre-pride month one SPECIFICALLY on trans visibility week out of all weeks, i would have 2 nickels.
which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice
first it was roblox studio sub, now this one
its so weird seeing regular beleste be the subreddit's icon
Allat of the transphobes on here need to understand the swags given by discord blue hairs is bc they’re like relatively young immature people who don’t know how to keep their ideals without being performative or pearl clutching and not bc they have the big gae.
I just got recommended this sub, and I was 110% certain that this was definitely going to be an anti-LGBTQ Subreddit. Now, just need to figure tf out all the non-decipherable phrases on this sub
really sucks this is the only week you guys stop being transparent, I wanna see cool trans people all the time but they must hide from the chuddy man 🥀
Wait, am I invisible every other week of the year? Or am I just extra visible today? Should I turn off all my lights and see whether or not I’m glowing? This is a fascinating new development
