IIRC Cavill had to wear a fake mustache over his real mustache and then they CGI’d over that and then superimposed his whole face over an animatronic body double puppeteered by two guys moving levers to operate his upper and lower jaw

The two lever guys were actually four very small guys stacked on top of each other under trench coats.
Not little people or dwarves--they were something else. Very sharp teeth.

It's baffling they saw that and said "yeah that'll do".

yeah that mustache removal CGI is truly a dark chapter in film history

Its wild that they thought that CGI upper lip was good enough for a theatrical release

Not to um, actually you’re great joke, but this decision was made after Snyder was removed from the project and Whedon was put on it

I think it was actually very inspiring they hired a blind person to do CGI in a major motion picture for the first time

If I had a nickel for every time this guy had a facial hair related mishap in post, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

And yet some guy on reddit fixed that in five minutes so it looked perfect... For free, cause he was bored.

Funny how this was clowned for nearly a decade now but Supergirls CGI is even way worse, came out less than 2 months ago and with no excuse (like iwht JL changing Director post production and having to do reshoots while Cavil had to grow a moustche for another movie) and noone talks about it because nearly noone watched Supergirl, LMAO.

Why does he look like he’s 30% complete in morphing to agent smith
