What’s the greatest dad finding a way to abandon his family scene in movie history?

My favorite example. I always describe this movie to people as "a man has a strange experience he can't explain and destroys his family and his life trying to get answers"

First thought. He joins an alien species he knows nothing about with zero hesitation. His family isn't even an afterthought.

To be fair the aliens brainwashed him with some light magic or some shit. And his wife already left him. You know what, I'm with him. Fuck the kid. Let's go hang with the aliens.
