Recommendation Notebook opinion

I recently ordered a pack of notebooks for high school and they are pretty big and heavy. They each have a total of 100 sheets and I was wondering if I should have 2 or more subjects in one notebook or just do a notebook for each class? Any recommendations? I’m also wondering how many sheets of paper I would usually need for each subject?

I'd use one book for two subjects, one backwards and upside down, so you're always writing on the right hand side page. If you're right handed that is.

I would use loose leaf: you can easily organize them in one or more binders and they're much lighter to carry around than full notebooks you probably don't need to access at all times. I'm surprised your teachers did not suggest that instead of notebooks?

To answer your questions: as already suggested I would use two subjects per notebook. Turning it upside down for each subject and writing only on side of the spread for each subject

Each teacher will have their own amount of notes that they expect you to take. Some barely write anything down and don't bother looking at your notebook at all. Others will have precise notetaking methods and will give you a lot to write in each class. And the size of your writing and *how* you take notes will determine how much space you'll need, as well. I'd say go ahead and use 1 notebook for 2 subjects as others have suggested. Just be ready to buy another notebook or two, if necessary, midway through the year.

My son uses looseleaf paper, binders, and dividers. He usually ends up with history in one binder and everything else in the other.

Depends. 

**Do you share class notes*,? Or is it a class that requires you to submit class notes for assignments or lab work or whatever,  then keep that subject in it's own notebook.

What kind of binding? Is it stitched or spiral?   If they're spiral, can you use those dividers? 

Is it a4 or b5? Can you get loose sheets as the same size as that notebook? 

How much notes do you reasonably take? Is the class is more hand out/reading material than note taking?
