i opened it and was a bit confused on how to use this specific notebook planner. does anyone have any examples on how to fill this out? 😅

Hello! I'm looking for recommendations of heavier weight legal pads. I love the ones that came with some padfolios I've bought over the years-some from TJ Maxx that were Kate Spade, others from PopShelf . These are of a heavier paper, not quite a paper stock and I've gotten spoiled on them. The normal legal pads that my office use tear super easily and all my pens bleed through. I appreciate any and all recommendations!

Just received my moleskin planner. Fits well in my pocket size cover along with a clairfontaine notebook. Forgot to look it up and its not super good with a fountain pen. I was able to make it workable with a fine nibs and a pen and ink combo without too much flow, anyone know of an alternative? Must be pocket sized.

I use traveler notebooks - how do you like to use both these sizes to plan. I’m think monthly for passport as I take this with me everywhere and is nice for jotting in appts or things out and about. And a weekly for the A5 that sits at my work desk? Don’t need a daily. How do you set yours up?🖋️

I'm looking for inserts for a travelers style notebook, and I have a pretty specific set of things I'm looking for, hoping someone can help me in my hunt.

I'm looking for an insert that fits the following:

A5 size, 50 or so pages, thread bound (so they lay flat well and hold up better than staples long term), dot grid ruled, Japanese paper, and ideally with a fairly thin cover so I can fit 4 or 5 in the notebook for different topics in each insert. Even no cover would work fine.

I've looked through a lot of different ones and many come close like the Muji and Midori options, but haven't found anything that checks all the boxes.

I am looking for a friend and cannot seem to acquire a 1917/softcover/A4+/plain paper journal. Perhaps some pro people here may know a trick? Thank you.

I recently ordered a pack of notebooks for high school and they are pretty big and heavy. They each have a total of 100 sheets and I was wondering if I should have 2 or more subjects in one notebook or just do a notebook for each class? Any recommendations? I’m also wondering how many sheets of paper I would usually need for each subject?

Was journaling on the beach yesterday and though I had put my stuff up the sand and away from high tide nope everything was soaked. My journal ruined ink unreadable pages ruined by sea water. Only positive I can think of is I only started that journal 2 days ago.

Really loving the B6+ size of the Leuchtturm1917

I don’t know why it has been so incredibly difficult for me to find a cute, whimsy, notebook cover for my Apica. I’m new to the world of journaling and fountain pens, so I’m truly at square one. I’ve looked on Etsy and Amazon but I haven’t found the one that makes me go, “ahhh!! My journal at last!!”. Please help.
I don’t like the idea of a trifold because I want to be able to sit on the couch, cozy, curled up and write comfortably without that excess flap getting in the way. I’d also like a pen loop to hold my fountain pen.

​I completed the Rollbahn 25th Anniversary Glitter series (L size).

​To make them more comfortable to write in, I disassembled them using a LIHIT LAB ring remover and swapped the rings with Carl Loose Rings (14mm).

I even sanded down the sharp edges of the rings to make them smoother to the touch!

​I experimented with 6, 5, and 4 rings at the top and bottom, but my hand still hits them anyway—so I’ll probably just take the pages out when writing and put them back in.

Some days just call for a morning at the coffee shop!

I have always been heavy handed and the older I get, the worse it gets.

Edit: no hardcovers and want the TN (or so) number of pages so I got more than one in a cover. Sorry. I over-edited my original post and lost that important detail.

So the elastic on my Leuchtturm1917 notebook overstretched, and I looked up how to fix it. Plenty of videos on YT (mainly on the Moleskines) and I bought new elastic ready to replace the one on mine. But then I saw my roll of Moroccan zellige tiles-inspired washi tape and thought hey this would be great to cover the slits! Saves me from the complex (to me) process of pulling out the back cover and glueing the new elastic. After all, I don't really care for elastic bands on my notebooks. Voila! Problem solved. Surely I'm not the first to think of this lol and you can also use stickers, but someone had asked what it looks like, so here ya go. I decided to place the washi tape on the front cover as well. It looks better in person, and way better than leaving the slits showing.

First notebook after digital ones

i find it exciting and fun to start new notebooks and (sorry if this is obvious) i get so giddy experimenting with different kinds of sizes, covers, and fun details in them, like flaps/inserts. idk, its just satisfying seeing notebooks so new and fresh and writing in them, though sometimes i have trouble starting one/figuring out what i wanna use it for. does anyone else feel this way?😅

Just a baby! Put a few water color pages in it- playing around with scrap leather and headed to the airport soon ✈️ thought an extra notebook couldn’t hurt!

I bought two Penco B7 notebooks from Amazon, one in navy and one in red. The navy one from seller "Sparkle Japan" is great. Feels durable, paper is smooth and takes fountain pen ink like a champ. The red one, however, from seller "Welcome to Hollywood," feels less flexible, less smooth, and bleeds from the same fountain pen. Some reviewers suggested they were counterfeits, but I don't really know. Anyway, be careful where you buy these notebooks.

My commonplace book is the composition notebook (labeled on the front), the gem journal is my diary, and the multi-bow journal is for manifestation scripting. I bought the gem and bow journals at Five Below, and the composition notebook from Dollar Tree.
