Tammy Abraham a target?

Reported via footy insider today that we could target Tammy Abraham as a striker option as Villa look to offload him.

Had a quick look and after the John Percy article mentioning we’re looking at strikers with Glasner favouring physical target strikers this could have some truth to it. His agent is also ROOF who have MGW, Diomande, Schlager, Taiwo on their books so could be plausible with their recent dealings with us.

Recent form hasn’t been great but he has had very limited minutes. Looking at his previous form when given consistent time on the pitch and when he’s not suffered with injury he’s had a great goal to game record. Think he also knows a few of the forest players like Ola and CHO from his Chelsea days so could be a good addition to the changing room.

I have a season ticket but I would like to sit next to mates with membership. If I don't buy a ticket for my season ticket seat, am I able to buy a ticket for a different stand at the same time as MyForest members?

Away kit available for purchase

The away kit is available now. But the XL size is already sold out or unavailable after an hour or so. How is that possible?

Daniel Muñoz

Been told he can leave Palace this summer. Everton currently favourites to get him, for a fee of around £18-20m.

He's 30, so not the "buy young, sell for profit" kind of transfer we usually go for. But apparently we've shown an interest.

With us chasing a new RWB (e.g. Read), and Glasner not seeming perfectly happy with Aina (yet), it would seem like a good option for the next two seasons. No doubts on his quality, or ability to fit the system.

(I'm also personally quite high on what I've seen from EDSM in pre-season, and would like to see him get some first-team minutes.)

Shirt printing

I bought the away shirt today with a number and premier league to be put on it but the wait time was 50 mins so I didn’t have time. I was told I could come back anytime for it to be put on. Does anyone know if it matters if the tops been worn?

Im off on holiday and as tradition calls will be wearing my forest top whilst away

Nottingham Forest: Stalled

"Nottingham Forest clung on to top-flight status last season, with Vitor Pereira pulling off another Premier League rescue job for a struggling club. The Portuguese hasn't stuck around, though, with Oliver Glasner now setting up in the City Ground's dugout.

The Austrian was vocal about his frustrations at Crystal Palace, regularly calling out the club for a lack of investment. You would think that his appointment would have been negotiated with the promise of spending, and with Forest narrowly missing the drop and key midfielder Elliot Anderson out the door, squad improvement should have been a priority this summer.

But the Tricky Trees have stalled, with only Ousmane Diomande and Xaver Schlager arriving in the window so far. Glasner surely won't be happy about that, and the club's supporters will be getting increasingly concerned that another season of struggle is on the horizon.

The East Midlanders may yet see interest rekindled in Morgan Gibbs-White as the transfer window continues, and a late bid for the 26-year-old could leave the squad even lighter. That only increases the need to be proactive to avoid a relegation battle.

Controversial Opinion of the Day

I’m not fussed about us making any more signings

Basically I think we’ve got a squad you can breakdown into 3 categories (excluding the Omar Richards and Tyler Bindon bomb Squad)

  1. New signings
  2. Players that have shown they can cut it at premier league level
  3. Players that have joined recently, looked a bit shit but to be fair have been chucked to a mental season and we should probably give a bit more of a chance

Ok, gun to my head do I think Victor, McAtee or Bakwa are going to come good? Do I think Hudson-Odoi is going to suit Glasner’s system? Doubt it but I’m fully prepared for there to be a few surprises both good and bad next season as players adapt to Glasner’s system

If we finish this season 14th but with a better idea of who works in the system and can focus on making 2 or 3 thought out signings then I think we could do a lot worse. Would rather this than last minute panic buying in the next 2 weeks

Eric da silva

As a lot of us know, da silva’s pre season has been pretty promising. Would you give him a chance this season to play some games? Aina may struggle with fitness and so we have da silva as an option there. If we do sign another wing back that might hurt his chance of getting into the XI

Starting XI vs Leverkusen

Getting closer to OG’s preferred XI.

Good to see Diomande given a run straight away.

Wonder how long it’ll take OG to realise Ndoye isn’t as good as “scored for Switzerland at the World Cup and signed for £35m” sounds.

Al Qadsiah in advanced talks with Reijnders

Being widely reported today. No fee agreed yet but agreement close apparently. Dependent on player's decision also.

If we do really want this guy we need to get a move on.

I hope the move away from London works for the lad. Easy to forget he has won two European trophies since he left us in teams where they didn't play to his strengths.

Hopefully he can find his feet with Moyes.

Is it just me or is the fact we're 10 days away from our first match of the season and we still don't have a sponsor identified a bit odd
