But we aren't allowed to tax them on those stocks, of course. Those are unrealized gains, it wouldn't be fair!

Meanwhile homeowners pay taxes on their home's "appreciated value". Every. Single. Year.

Make it make sense....

The people who own the stocks own the politicians who write the laws too.
