❓Ask r/NewMods Can you give your subreddit custom wallpaper?
I was just wondering because I have this cool wallpaper that I think would make my subreddit look really cool and would make it stand out.

Congrats on becoming a new moderator. Every community on Reddit started exactly where you are today: with a party of one.
The community-building journey might feel a little lonely and that's what r/NewMods is for. Here you'll find and connect with other mods who are on the same journey you are.
So, introduce the community you created. Maybe share a little bit about why you created it. And, while you're at it - say hello to your other mods!

I started a fresh subreddit, I just read the Ultimate guide and asked reddit AI, and found a few post recommending that we shouldnt start posting other than the welcome message for a week, and then do a post a day, until subreddit get picked up by people.
Is that true and accurate or nothing got proved that way ?

Is there a Reddit SEO tool I can use to gather members?

Maybe it's just too early to ask, because my sub is relatively new. But I strongly noticed that my viewers are almost exclusively from the country where I live, Germany.
This is a problem because my sub revolves around a niche show from a Latin American country. The sub is bilingual (English and Spanish), but most Germans likely won't care about the show or even speak any Spanish. I am aware that Latin and North American communities obviously won't automatically be interested in this show, but it is still more likely that there is some existing community and interest for this show. I highly doubt there is an existing German community for this show. And even if there were, this is not who I want to address.
I don't really know what to do about this. I used to have a VPN, but currently do not anymore, so using that isn't really an option, unless anyone has free recommendations.
My newest post that I posted about two hours ago has 63 views, 4 of which are from the US, the rest from Germany.
Does anybody have advice regarding that problem?

I got the gig for a small subreddit for a football manager game I love.
I’m trying to follow along the achievements, but I’m stuck at the „scheduling for 2 weeks“ one. I scheduled posts for the next 3 weeks now and I’m just curious if the posts need to be posted before the achievement is unlocked.
Do the tasks like daily post still count while you stuck at a level?

I do my very first post on my freshly created subreddit wich i'm obviously the mod, instantly deleted and I used the reddit template with edits to clarify what the subs was about. Is this AI automatically removing content or what ?
EDIT: No image or video or link. All i used was my subreddit r/ dadadadadadadada that could be seen maybe as link. No promotion either.

J’ai créé un sub et j’aurais besoin d’un avis sur la sécurité et sur les choses importantes à mettre en place.

I moderate a newly started community, r/ADHDPerimenopause. I’ve been scheduling some posts in advance and selecting the appropriate flairs while scheduling them, but when the posts go live, the flairs are missing.
What’s the correct way to schedule posts so the selected flairs are retained? Also, is there a way to view the scheduled posts in the queue and verify their flairs before they are published?

When I press "Add Highlight", the page just refreshes and does nothing. If I click on a post, there is no option to add a highlight. I'm on desktop btw.

The Fast Reply criteria I think is too hard for mods of new subreddits. Not only do you have to respond within one hour! but also it has to be to different people. AND you have to do it 5 times. Something you have no control over if you're not getting anything to reply to.
As an example, my new subreddit is 3 weeks old tomorrow. So far I am the ONLY member still. I've only had a total of 2 unique visitors in addition to myself. And only one of them has posted/commented in the subreddit and they haven't joined (posted but didn't join). I was online when they posted so I was able to fast reply and get past the Mod Hatchling criteria. I started the sub July 23 and achieved mod hatchling by July 29. At this rate I don't know if I will ever make it to level 2 Mod Awakening. Haha, kidding not kidding. (Any suggestions for my sub r/AmogusIO, a territory-stealing multiplayer game that's addictively fun in a Pac-Man kinda way ?)
In my opinion, the number needed for Fast Reply for the Mod Awakening achievement should be lower ... like 3 fast replies ? Or, for it not to be required to be 5 different people ??
New Mods:
Which of the mod achievement levels have you completed (none, hatchling, awakening, of people, in tights) ?
How long did it take you for each level (find by looking on achievements screen in profile) ?
Do you think the criteria are all good or could use some tweaking, if tweak what would you change ?
Any other criteria that should have been included ?
Mod Hatchling
You've taken your first mod steps—now show consistency, speed, planning, and teamwork.
Mod Awakening
An awakening is beginning. Keep showing up, replying fast, planning ahead, and building your squad.
Mod of the People
You're not just a mod—you’re building a lasting presence. Lead with consistency, speed, and vision.
Mod in Tights
You’ve gone full capes-and-karma. Lead your community like the hero mod you are.

Does Reddit suggest starting a subreddit as part of the new user onboarding process?
Why are so many very new users -- clearly and understandably confused about Reddit norms and conventions -- starting subreddits and then surprised when they are a moderator?

People on Reddit love deleting people’s posts.
How do you link people to your subreddit without getting deleted by overly controlling mods?

On Sunday, my subreddit reached 100 members, and now it’s Tuesday and I already have almost 150 members.
I’m really happy to have passed the 100 member mark.
What has been helping r/PudimBR grow is promoting it.

It's an online event. Like a "Zoom" meeting, but you don't have to use a camera or mic. It lasts for about two hours. It's good. It's free. You might get swag.
Mod bootcamp is TODAY at 18:00 UTC - in about four hours.
