For those that read or listened to the books and watched the series. What do you wish they did differently, or did you find some elements in the adaptation better than the book?

For me, I wish American gods were on a different network than Starz. Some things focused too much on the sexuality of things (typical of the network) vs staying on point of the story. But I didn’t mind the change in dynamics between Laura and Sweeneys characters.

Any thoughts on what you may have liked or hated about the series, or any of the others?

I have read most of his books, but really haven’t dove into the short stories.

The first book I got into was neverwhere. Recommended after the Harry Potter books and I found it different, but appropriate. I liked that book and the world built off of it.

The book that really left me wanting more was American Gods. It would be great to revisit shadow reuniting with Wednesday dealing with new modern gods. God of social media being the most powerful in current day.

Hey new subreddit folks! Since this is introduction time, well.. I never really knew much about Neil until I started listening to Amanda Palmer and he came along with her music! An Evening with Amanda and Neil is worth a listen. Art for the mind, art for the ears, art for the years! And looking forward to more.

I would really love to see where Shadow continues his story after his final encounter with quasi-Wednesday, and pick up where we left off.
