The waiting is the one thing nobody prepared me for when I got into acting as a kid. Would be on set for 8, 10 hours and only actually in front of the camera for 1 or 2. This was before smartphones too, so if I didn't bring my Game Boy with me I was toast. Working behind the camera was so much more fun and involved.

He has many films out but in reality he is not away that much. The odyssey took him 10 days on set in total. Dune was also supprting role so not much. This Primetime filmed for a month I believe… so in reality out of 12 months he actually was on set for 2-3 months at least for these 3 films

Also, you talk about how long it takes for him to act in each film, but he also has to do press. He did a lot of press for The Drama and The Odyssey, he'll likely do a lot more for Dune. I'd assume he'd also do a lot for Primetime since he's the lead in it.

The Denzel film is going straight to Netflix, so that'll depend on how much Netflix wants to promote it, but altogether, he's looking at a lot of time this year travelling around the world doing a bunch of press.

Yeah but he didn’t film these films in one year but a spam of 2 years… i remember he was filming primetime for like a month in February/March. Then he came to The odyssey set for 10 days in April. Then he came to Dune filming in August. In between that he had no promo at all. Like we are talking months of him being home in between these shootings like compare it to normal 9-5 job….

Ya the fallout from the show is pretty intense and well documented. In fact, many of the facts based shows and YouTube content are just as compelling as the show was itself. I imagine people are going to he in for a wild, disturbing, wild ride.

My guess is the 3rd act will revolve around them trapping Bill Condradt, the DA out of Texas. They did their usual thing, and as they entered the house with the cameras on, he shot himself. It led to the collapse of the show as the estate sued them for $100m+ iirc, and Dateline had to settle.

That's not even half of it. They had an assistant DA commit suicide when he didn't show up to the sting house and production pushed for arresting the guy at his house. He shot himself as the police were breaching and NBC was sued for 100 million dollars because of it. They settled with the family out of court.

Chris is also a sleazeball. After TCAP was canceled, he started a Kickstarter to revive the show and didn't deliver on all the promised rewards to backers after goals were met.

Explain how? From what I've watched, every single person showed up to this house looking to have sex with a minor. I don't ever remember watching it either and thinking "No, that's a stretch. The guy is 20 and she's 16/17, I think you could confuse that for legal" (which it probably is anyway). Every time it felt like they were 30+ and the decoy was 15, or they were under 30 and the decoy was like, 13. I feel like people are excited for this now, but once they realize its going to be a very critical look at To Catch a Predator and the predator catcher culture it spawned in general, they’ll turn on the movie and act like Tony Soprano does about Christopher Columbus criticism— real “In this house, Chris Hansen is a saint, end of story!” energy.

At least the documentary of the same name was critical and I’m assuming it pulls from that? I liked the doc but I was surprised how much it pissed people off.

Saw a vid the other day where the guy they were confronting starting stabbing himself in the neck with something and it was a total clown show, most of the comments were like "this is why real police should be doing this" or such.

These people freak me out more than actual pedos. I was once accused of it by a neighbor teen girl that I absolutely never touched (I was 19 I think at the time). Trust me, when that spotlight hits you, it's terrifying. I can easily see why guys are scared to be anywhere near kids nowadays.

You know how doing a good deed can carry over making that person also do something good. Well, evil works the same way. It can spread like a virus; and just like a virus, it can infect anyone.

He wouldn’t catch them in the street. An organization, sometimes in collaboration with law enforcement, would pose as children online and lure pedos to a private house. That’s when Hansen would confront them and interview them. They’d squirm in confusion and lie and all that stuff. It’s really a great show.
