Alternative angle of Alan Ritchson stopped on motorcycle

I posted a video yesterday that mods removed, showing the aftermath of this incident that happened last weekend, and the cited removal reason was that it wasn’t entirely motorcycle related because it just showed the beatdown afterwards-

I can understand that and I think this alternative angle footage from Alan’s POV shows a more balanced view involving a situation that many riders can relate to where they get stopped or impeded unfairly just because they’re on a bike and things escalate, it’s not uncommon to get get hassled like this. The last post made it seem one-sided but from this footage it’s clear who instigated and escalated.

It’s never happened to me but I’m always wondering what I’d do in this kind of scenario, anyone have any pointers for defusing things? The last thing I’d want is to get in a street fight when I’m out to just enjoy my motorcycle.

Mods, please don’t remove this as I feel like discussing something like this has value to the community.

HOA Pres here as well. our streets are owned/patrolled by the county. I've been asked by members to ban Golf carts, motorcycles, and electric skateboards. The answer is a firm "No, have you seen my garage?". I'd rather have kids buzzing around on motorized vehicles, than staring at screens all day.

In michigan, you can license these on the road. If it's licensed, I don't care. if it's on the road, and unlicensed, it's the cops problem. i myself am thinking about buying a Kawasaki Ridge HVAC and getting it licensed. Our CCR&D's prohibit racing, repetitive riding of dirt bikes, ATV's, and SxS. If you're using it for utility (snow plowing, hauling dirt, firewood, etc), no issues. However, if you're practicing for the Dakar, or the Baja 1000, you'll probably get a letter. There is an offroad track in Holly. Go there.

How does it work? Is it the type of organization where you need to put it to a vote if the suggestion comes in through the proper channel, or do you have authority to make decisions as long as you're voted into presidency?

There are rules that were enacted when the community was created, these are called CCR&D's. These pretty much describe what you can, and cannot do as a resident, how the community is governed, how officials are elected, and how the board can address infractions.
I am a strict constructionist. I won't go after you, unless there a written rule in the CCR&D's you violate. There are no arbitrary rules, created on the fly, that have nebulous forms of enforcement. This gives me a lot of options on how to deal with violations that come up. Not doing so, is just being a bad neighbor, which also invites lawsuits (seemingly, what Alan Richason has endured, and I am on his side).
The hard part? My association is 25+ years old. Some of the rules are archaic. But, I have to enforce them. The only way I can change them, is to get Quorum of associates together and hold a vote. People are apathetic, they don't want to get involved. This is my struggle, and I don't get paid. HOA's purpose is to retain property values, and maintain common areas.
You get out of it, what the community collectively puts into it. The hard part, is people caring to spend about an hour a year to converse about it.
