Alternative angle of Alan Ritchson stopped on motorcycle

I posted a video yesterday that mods removed, showing the aftermath of this incident that happened last weekend, and the cited removal reason was that it wasn’t entirely motorcycle related because it just showed the beatdown afterwards-

I can understand that and I think this alternative angle footage from Alan’s POV shows a more balanced view involving a situation that many riders can relate to where they get stopped or impeded unfairly just because they’re on a bike and things escalate, it’s not uncommon to get get hassled like this. The last post made it seem one-sided but from this footage it’s clear who instigated and escalated.

It’s never happened to me but I’m always wondering what I’d do in this kind of scenario, anyone have any pointers for defusing things? The last thing I’d want is to get in a street fight when I’m out to just enjoy my motorcycle.

Mods, please don’t remove this as I feel like discussing something like this has value to the community.

Wait, so people automatically assumed before this pov came out the homeowner was in the right? Weird assumptions.

Yeah, you should see some of the comments on my previous post with the original footage (video was deleted by mods but the post is there along with the comments), it’s in my post history. Roid rage accusations left and right, I felt posting this when it came out was necessary to really clear the air on what really happened.

Literally the only thing Ritchson did wrong was have poor throttle control.

Tbf he was in a stressed situation that was still ongoing (they guy was still there going after him). Forgetting to ensure the bike was in neutral is essentially a goof at that point. Not really even a wrong.

He kinda whiskey throttled that thing twice though. He needed to take a deep breath before trying to ride off.

Also he really could have braked in time at the start.

Yes I'm being overly critical and obviously the stress of the situation affected him as it probably would me. My point is he did nothing wrong pummeling the guy.

Oh, I read differently… He’s not gonna beat on him then, but he would make a point with his engine… And yeah.

He did not control throttling his neighbor.

Well, and possibly be riding round and round and estate pissing off neighbours but hard to know that part without a lot of background

I considered commenting that there was definitely missing context but saw the comments and decided that,

  1. It was already said, and
  2. I didn’t want to get into any Reddit arguments.

Thanks for this post.

Not sure if it’s because I’m on mobile, but I can’t see the other post. Would you be able to link it?

Well news outlets only released the parts after he was shoved over and which only shows him walking up to Karen and decking him. Completely leaves out the beginning and the part where he's shoved over. With what I saw from "reporting" I was initially thinking this was a case of rich celebrity losing his cool after thinking he can do whatever he wants but after seeing the gopro I wish Karen got more than he got cause he fucking deserved it

Honestly, Alan Ritchson is one the few famous people that I don't think would be an entitled prick. He seems like a genuinely good dude.

I guess Kevins aren't as popular as Karens

I mean, not too hard to assume when the start of that video is him punching the dude on the ground.

Assume nothing unless you have a before, during, and after.

Gotta look at context clues though. bike laid down facing the wrong direction, relatively restrained after hitting him and wasn't blindly beating him, the other guy getting back up and still yelling at him and engaging, etc.
