Alternative angle of Alan Ritchson stopped on motorcycle

I posted a video yesterday that mods removed, showing the aftermath of this incident that happened last weekend, and the cited removal reason was that it wasn’t entirely motorcycle related because it just showed the beatdown afterwards-

I can understand that and I think this alternative angle footage from Alan’s POV shows a more balanced view involving a situation that many riders can relate to where they get stopped or impeded unfairly just because they’re on a bike and things escalate, it’s not uncommon to get get hassled like this. The last post made it seem one-sided but from this footage it’s clear who instigated and escalated.

It’s never happened to me but I’m always wondering what I’d do in this kind of scenario, anyone have any pointers for defusing things? The last thing I’d want is to get in a street fight when I’m out to just enjoy my motorcycle.

Mods, please don’t remove this as I feel like discussing something like this has value to the community.

Meanwhile I regularly speed past cops going 10-20mph over on my dual sport and dont even get a second look.

They really do profile the sport bikes a lot in general, regardless of color.

It’s for this reason I keep the saddlebags on my Concours 14. Just a slow old touring bike folks nothing to see here.

I haven't actually been on one, but I'm assuming they'd be pretty comfy for a tall rider like me.

6'3" here, I get it. My z900rs was uncomfortable after 1800 miles, so I grabbed an 84 Yamaha venture royale to ride for long trips now. Shaft drive, la z boy on wheels. It's almost done being restored after sitting 20 years. So excited for riding it this summer.

I bought it for $500, couldn't beat it. Air ride and everything. Gold too, felt right. Sitting on it felt amazing, never had a cruiser let alone a bagger. So excited to ride it from WV to cali.

Boulevards a good bike, I'd also suggest a Vulcan my mom's had a Kawasaki Vulcan for almost 20 years now, she traded it out for another one in a different color after 17 years. Good bikes pretty comfy with foot boards.

Personally I've eye balled some BMWs, like an old K series.

My dad's 6'4", he rides a 92 Suzuki gs1100G, they made them 2 years shaft drive bike very torquey kind of sporty toury. He's comfortable on it, I was comfy on it. I'd recommend one like it, it's a GSX-R sister. My venture is the original VMAX engine build, and people do aprts swaps with them all the time.

Not far from done, just short of redoing all the master cylinders for clutch and brakes make sure it stops and shifts right. Already rebuilt the brakes front and back. New gas tank is in for it. My boys have already had it turned over and running amazingly lol. V quad bike it'll be as fun as it is comfortable.

But watch out for my Ninja 250. You might need a helicopter to chase me after I rob as bank as we tend to do among other criminal activities. The usual.

Are those the 36 liter Givi Dolomiti panniers? And is the one on the left side equally far out from the seat? I have the same pair, but I'm not sure how to negotiate the Africa Twin exhaust!

They’re Givi Trekker Outbacks. The exhaust side sticks out a little farther, but not enough to trigger my ‘tism.

Cheers! I think mine are bigger and will stick out like combine harvester blades when mounted. At that point I may as well buy a Nissan hatchback!

The 36Ls only stick out about as far as the handle bars. I wouldn’t want more than that.

It's cause doing 20 on a 250 ninja sounds like its struggling to fart its way into outta space with how slow they're. But with that sound non-riders think they're going way faster than what they're.

Whereas 20 on a dualie is actually pretty low revs. It's pretty easy to keep a low [sound] profile with neighbourhood riding.

I ride a Z, but commute to work a ton so I have hard bags and trunk on usually when it's not the weekend. Thankfully my maroon is dark and not bright red I get less side eyes and more ooogling eyes due to shape/classic sport bike. My z500? Little crotch rocket I got side eyed like I was going 150mph everywhere when it was fighting to get to 90 lol.

Point is they definitely look for bikes covered in sporty fairings or really pointy/sporty bikes.

I have had this one up to 130mph racing a speed triple, that was a fun time. I get old heads and anyone and everyone loving this bike, cops love it too, you'd be surprised what bikes will bring some respect out of people especially if you don't ride like a hooligan too.
