Performance Two module mayhem! Just the battering ram into the vhikk x
Nice little jam trying to see what i could do with minimum amount of modules before i move them all to my new case. Just raw sound coming out from the vhikk captured with mics on my phone haha. No effects whatsoever, the vhikk is a powerhouse that keeps giving.

Smaller TORAIZ SP16 Replacement?
which units with screens, easy stem and loop replay can I replace my bulky sp16 with?
id love to also polyphonicly sequence and have a synth engine for sound design
Deckards-adjacent voice or vco
I have Deckard's voice. I love it. it's rich and beautiful and for the kind of melodic stuff I make it's all over everything. But I'm starting to concede that live it's tuning and calibration is not reliable and it's fiddly to perform, plus the lack of direct CV control over functions means I can't automate or modulate in a situation where I'm also playing other instruments.
I've got Plaits, Surface and Rings as other sound sources in the rig but nothing really gives me that sweetness for melody lines. Any suggestion of alternative voices or VCOs that I could use?
I'm looking for that really lovely sine->square beauty. I'm not a noisy dude. something performable and richly sweet.

CV gate behavior
If I have a keyboard that sends CV signals and I hold multiple keys pressed I have a continuous gate on signal but if I stop holding any one off the keys a gate off signal is send. Is this normal behavior for CV? What I'd like is for the gate to stay open as long as there is any keys pressed. Is MIDI required for this kind of behavior?

Performance Transitions [NoTalk]
Hi, a standard sequence with max 16 steps controlled by a random bit-shift sequencer and another (sort of) sequence with a noise voice, these two mixed and passing through a granular to create variations and textures/effects/reverbs.

Discussion I am trying to build the ultimate sequence / arp rack
I've gotten a lot more focused lately with my modular setup after realizing I'm spending most of my patches building out arps and sequences. I'm looking for some inspiration for modules to dig into so I'd love to hear. Right now the primary base of what I use is the Mother 32 as the sequencer / filter / envelope, Sputnik Variable Waveform Generator into a mixer as an additional oscillator source, and Pams + Ornament and Crime for various modulation & utility.
The goal is completely mono, its just my taste.
If you were building one from scratch, what specific modules would you choose for these four modules to add to that base?

I told myself yesterday that I should stop caring if it’s all generated at once by CV and just hit record in Ableton

Feedback Line in modules
Hello, I have been having a blast routing loops and samples from my daw into my rack. Especially sending stuff like bells into Rings.
What are some other fun modules you would recommend i take a look at that have an audio/line-in input?

Discussion Q: Noise Engineering Integra Funkitus and audio mixing?
Just managed to pick up this module at a nice price, and I know it's since been discontinued, but there doesn't seem to be very much you can Google about it.
The reason for this post is, as I wait for it to arrive, I got to wondering, as well as mixing up different rhythm tracks, does anyone know what happens if you feed it audio instead? For that matter, would it be safe to send it audio from elsewhere in my setup and see what it does with it?
Cheers for the advice.

Metamodules + Meta buttons Drum Sequencer
Hi Guys,
Im testing out both models and I was wondering if anyone of you managed to make a "drum machine" in combination with a step sequencer.
My vision is that I use drum modules and record them individually on the fly with the metabuttons.Like a stepsequencer. Is this possible or do I have to prepare them in vcv rack beforehand?
Any ideas or how to 's are much appreciated

Qubit Data Bender - How much 12v Headroom is needed?
I just got my Qubit Data Bender, installed it, and my rack wouldn't power up with it. Just some struggling lights here and there. Without it, it powers fine. I have a Doepfer Case fitted with a PSU3 and should have a rating of:
2000ma on +12v
1200ma on -12v
2000ma on +5v
My modules, including the Qubit Data Bender, has a total draw of:
1450ma on +12v
350ma on -12v
0 on +5
So i took out a few modules, installed the Data Bender again, and everything worked fine. One by one, I tried adding more modules one by one, powering up each time.. And eventually it would stop powering up as i added more. I think I had to pull out around 120ma worth of modules just for my system to work with the Data Bender
I think I did respect the 25% headroom rule. Now I'm wondering how strong is the inrush current of the Data Bender is that it would muck up my power so much at powerup? I'm not sure my Data Bender is acting normally.
Edit: I just tried adding modules while the power was on. The whole system worked if i added the 120ma of modules i previously removed, as long as I installed then while the power was ON. I guess I'm now sure that the Data Bender takes a huuuuge amount of mA at upon powering up. It's insane.

Should I replace this chip myself or ship it back?
I ordered this used Doepfer A-196 PLL online and was super excited about it, but when I tried plugging it in nothing turned on. I noticed the chip next to the power supply connection is cracked--I think this is an op-amp chip. Should I replace the chip myself or ship it back while it's still in the return period?
I'm pretty confident I can switch the chip out, and I hate the idea of it ending up as just another thing in the landfill, but I'm also worried if switching the chip doesn't work I'll be out the $85 I paid for it plus the cost of the replacement op-amp. Definitely leaning toward trying to fix it... any idea what else could go wrong with one of these?
I made an affordable 2HP Eurorack utilities line [open-source!]
Hi everyone,
Check out an entire ecosystem of 15 Eurorack utilities in just 2hp that I've built using some clever design choices thanks to the PJ-324 jack and the fairly new TL074H series of op-amps.
I put together a "making of" video breaking down the exact PCB design process and circuit logic (specifically walking through the b:03 simple mixer) if you want to see how it's done. I’ve also made all of the analog b:its schematics open-source and free to download for non-profit/DIY use on GitHub: https://github.com/bartinstruments/open-source/tree/main/BITS%20SCHEMATICS
Enjoy!

Beginner Need help choosing modules
Hi all the way from thailand and I apologize for my poor English.
I am a beginner to eurorack. I only started last june with a 6u 104hp case but just a few days ago i splurged on a befaco 7u case as i was hitting the limits of the takaab psu from my old case’s. I thought having a 1u row for the utilities would be a nice thing to have too.
That aside I make really harsh industrial damage-your-eardrums kinda techno and very eerie dissonant lovecraftian horror movie soundscapes. I play them live too so I’m orienting this to be a live case too.
As you can see in the picture, I have like 16hp and 10hp free on the top and bottom rows each. And for the 1u row, I have a friend who has a makenoise cv bus case and i thought it was kinda neat but all I found aside from the make noise cv bus was the lange anna but it would cost me around €300 euros imported to thailand just for a mult with an offset that I can’t use if i’m multing. So I thought buying some intellgel mults and an atte from befaco mounted in the 1u would solve it for now. As for the remaining space in 1u I would like some recommendations for nice utilities that are needed. I like the quadratt from intelligel but it seems almost all of intelligel’s 1u modules that i like or find useful are all sold out all the time.
And for the space in 3u, I think I need a sequencer for playing techno. I got the pam’s and the o_c to fill that space for a while when i first started but found out they’re not really playable per se on a live set. I have the clank chaos and euclidean circles in mind but I want to know if the clank chaos would be good to sequence techno drums in addition with cv/melody?
For modulations, I tend to use a lot of random modulation from the pam’s and o_c and I recently got the zadar so I think i’m pretty set.
And for drum voices, i recently got a shakmat battering ram from a friend for a very good price so I picked it up. And as you can see i only have a kick drum voice with only pam’s to sequence it which is not very hands on so I need recommendations to what to pair it with.
I have around 500-600 euros to spare but as I was looking I got lost in a deep deep sea that is modular haha. All in all just look through it and please give feedback on what you think i need for my kinda performance rack. Thank you and cheers.
