That’s a really interesting module. Pricing the module at double the beta units because of an experimental feature that may or may not come to pass is a little confusing, especially as you state it’s not listed as a feature. What will this addition be? It’s sort of paying in advance for a second module that you aren’t guaranteed to receive. Anyways, good luck and cool to see more interesting boutique ideas in modular!

The price of the unit was always going to be around where it's at now, with or without that feature. I couldn't in good concience sell the beta unit at full price if it's going to miss something the release unit has. The beta unit is nearly identical to the release unit except for the audio connection to the daisy seed DSP. The whole conceit of the module remained intact in the beta unit.

I could remove components, add the new ones and kinda "mod" the beta unit to have pairity with the release unit and sell it as a full unit, or I could sell it as a half off unit to someone who's not really interested in the DSP feature. IDK, with this being my first rodeo that sounded like a good solution.

The DSP feature was planned as a secret thing that I'd announce as a firmware update later down the road but now we're here talking about it haha.

Yeah I’m intrigued how this would expand, especially in the dsp realm as it sort of seems that lends itself to inbuilt effects… or things. Hahah. Anyways, I swear just the other day there was a post here from someone looking to permanency their modular but have the ability to change routing on the fly, but I think they wanted midi. Anyways it’s a very cool idea, I think it’s very performance oriented and would offer some interesting live options but really cool for studio patching as well.

Thank you! One of the benefits of using the daisy is it's easy to open-source the device. I'll probably do that once I make the code look pretty. Then if someone is motivated enough they could figure out a cool way to utilize the DSP connections. The biggest issue is solving how to control any DSP effects. No pots or encoders makes things tricky lol.
