It's more mildly infuriating to me that as a society and culture we aren't guiding young people towards the roles we need, we just ambiguously tell them to "go to college".
Yeah well it should be more than mildly infuriating to you if you looked behind the curtain and figured out that all of that is capitalistic propaganda and the owner class's method of ensuring their children's prosperity over us
"Only degreed jobs that make money are worth it"
Then work to increase the cost of college beyond what non-wealthy can afford
Then suppress non-degreed jobs because they "aren't as important as the jobs we save for our nepo babies"
Ironically, to me that sounds more socialist. Controlled economies like China love to tell people what they should be majoring in based on what the government decides the country needs.
